Healey FREMONT -- Bessie Christina (Brown) Healey, 95, of Abbott Road, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, in Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont. She was born Aug. 8, 1906, in Chester, the daughter of the late Albert N. and Mary A. (Clough) Brown and was a longtime resident of Fremont. Mrs. Healey and her late husband owned and operated Bessie's Lunch in Raymond and Fremont. She served Fremont in many ways for many years. She was a ballot clerk and helped her husband in caring for Fremont Cemetery for many years. She was awarded the First Lady of Fremont award in 1996 by the Board of Selectmen. She was a member of the Fremont Grange, the Women's Society of the United Methodist Church and the Ray-Fre Senior Citizen Center. She enjoyed camping, cooking, knitting and crocheting. The widow of Charles M. Healey, who died in 1989, she is survived by two sons, Oliver Healey of Fremont and Norman Healey of Stamford, Conn.; four daughters, Barbara Braley of Ocala, Fla., Jerlene Jalbert and Ruth Anderson, both of Fremont, and Cynthia Healey of Tewksbury, Mass.; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 38 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Christina, who died in 1934. Funeral services were held Monday in People's United Methodist Church, Fremont, with the Rev. John Barner officiating. Burial was in Village Cemetery, Fremont. Memorial donations may be made to People's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 150, Fremont, NH 03044. Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. William E. Cooley I RAYMOND -- William E. Cooley I, 63, of Old Manchester Road, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, in Elliot Hospital, Manchester, after a sudden illness. He was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Manchester, the son of the late Daniel and Lillian (Clifford) Cooley and was a lifelong resident of Raymond. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Mr. Cooley was a machinist at Gemini Valve in Raymond for more than 24 years. He was an avid bowler and was a charter member of the Raymond Lion's Club. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kay (Hartford) Cooley of Raymond; one son, William E. Cooley II of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter-in-law, Melissa Cooley of Las Vegas; one daughter, Wendy Cooley of Las Vegas; one grandson; one brother, Daniel Cooley of Leominster, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Neil Iverson officiating. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Raymond Ambulance Association, 1 Scribner Road, Raymond, NH 03077. Audrey J. Stomierosky DOVER -- Audrey J. Stomierosky, 58, of 35 Augusta Way, formerly Rye, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born Sept. 25, 1942, in Olean, N.Y., the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary (Shearer) Hall. She had resided in Rye for 20 years, moving to Dover three weeks ago. She had previously resided in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Toms River, N.J. She was a 1960 graduate of Allegany Central High School and a 1966 graduate of Saint Bonaventure University in New York. Mrs. Stomierosky was employed by Seacoast Newspapers as the features editor for the Hampton Union, Exeter News-Letter, Rockingham County News and the Portsmouth Herald, retiring in 1998 after 13 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, Rye Beach, and was a member of the church choir; a member of Abenaqui Country Club, Rye Beach; and a member of the Portsmouth Women's Chorus and of its board of directors. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert F. Stomierosky of Dover; one son, Daniel Stomierosky of Chiang Mai, Thailand; one daughter and her husband, Lynn and Scott Tripp of Swansea, Mass.; two brothers, David Hall and Ted Hall, both of Allegany, N.Y.; two sisters, Diane Moss of Sparks, Nev., and Phyllis Rice of Hinsdale, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Deborah Stomierosky, who died in 1990. A Memorial Mass was celebrated Monday in St. Theresa Church with the Rev. Maurice Lavigne, pastor, as celebrant. Judy Kish was the organist and directed the liturgical choir. The Portsmouth Women's Chorus also provided a musical tribute. Another Memorial Mass was celebrated Thursday in St. Bonaventure Church.
