Permission received to include in the USGenWeb Archives. James A. Blair EXETER -- James A. Blair, 79, of Riverwoods Drive, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at his home after a brief illness. He was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Turtle Creek, Pa., the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Stewart) Blair. He was a longtime resident of Georgetown, Mass., moving to Exeter three years ago. Mr. Blair was an engineer with the General Electric Co. in Lynn and Everett, Mass., for many years. He was an active member of Georgetown Congregational Church; a member of the Order of Eastern Star; past master of the Charles C. Dame Masonic Lodge of Georgetown; and was active with boy scouting. He was an avid world traveler, enjoyed sailing, boating and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margery (Lord) Blair of Exeter; three sons and their wives, William J. and Margaret Blair of Lowell, Mass., A. Scott and Sandra Blair of Plano, Tex.; and Rev. Brian K., associate pastor of Newmarket Community Church, and Nancy Blair of Newmarket; one daughter and her husband, Susan and Michael Rislove of Fremont; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Newmarket Community Church, with the Rev. David Wuori officiating. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. James J. Bongiovanni DEERFIELD -- James J. "Jim" Bongiovanni, 37, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born Aug. 24, 1964, in Manchester, the son of John J. Bongiovanni of Deerfield and the late Gladys (Hudson) Bongiovanni and lived most of his life in Deerfield. He was a graduate of Coe-Brown High School, Northwood. Mr. Bongiovanni owned Good John's Construction, a finished carpentry business, for several years. He was an active coach with the boys' Babe Ruth team and the girls' softball and basketball teams in Deerfield. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Amy (Eaton) Bongiovanni of Deerfield; two children, Frank Bongiovanni and Meri-Lyn Bongiovanni, both of Deerfield; two sisters, Doreen Bongiovanni of Concord and Judy Clemons of Center Barnstead; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. Pall bearers will be Tabor Eaton, Tiler Eaton, Norman Simano, Thomas Brown, John Ross and David Clemons. A reception will be held after the burial service at the American Legion Post, Deerfield. Adeline Husson LACONIA -- Adeline Husson, 78, of 10 Ashley Drive, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001, at her home. She was born Aug. 2, 1923, in Hants Harbour, Newfoundland, the daughter of George and Annie (Poole) Ellis. She was raised in Everett, Mass., and had resided in Melrose, Mass., before moving to Laconia. She was a graduate of Everett High School. Mrs. Husson was employed in the admissions office at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for more than 10 years. She is survived by her husband, Irvin L. Husson of Laconia; two sons, Cliff Husson of Raymond and Rob Husson of Brentwood; two daughters, Janet DiSanto of Westford, Mass., and Beth Zaino of Melrose, Mass; five grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Ellis of Billerica, Mass.; three nephews and one niece. She was predeceased by one sister, Ruth Pelley. Private graveside services were held in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, Mass. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Evangelical Baptist Church, 12 Veterans Square, Laconia, with the Rev. John W. Hillyer, pastor, officiating. W. Chester Mansfield EAST KINGSTON -- W. Chester "Chet" Mansfield, 65, of 76 Burnt Swamp Road, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at his home. He was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Wareham, Mass., the son of the late John A. and Rachel T. (Wordell) Mansfield. He was a graduate of Salem High School. Mr. Mansfield was employed by Kingston Steel Drum of Kingston and Newton Structural Steel of Newton. He was an avid fresh water fisherman and woodworker. He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. (Young) Mansfield; one son and his wife, Daniel C. and Bonnie M. Mansfield of Haverhill, Mass.; two daughters Becky J. Gemelli and her husband Francis "Buddy" of East Kingston and Cindy J. Lesiczka of Haverhill; six grandchildren; four sisters, Joan Dougherty of Middleton, Mass., Barbara Livingston of Raymond, Helen Carrick of Beverly, Mass., and Louise Wilbur of Farmington; six brothers, Jack Mansfield of Essex, Mass., Dick Mansfield of So. Thomaston, Maine, Tom Mansfield of Somersworth, Russell Mansfield of Rochester, Lenny Mansfield of Exeter and Alfred Mansfield of Pontiac, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Nancy A. Martino. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Paul C. Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Amesbury, Mass. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, East Kingston. Alberta F. McAllister HAMPSTEAD -- Alberta F. (Redlon) McAllister, 82, of Village Green Road, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at the Oxford Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Haverhill, Mass. She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Newburyport, Mass., the daughter of the late Walter C. and Marguerite (Lapham) Redlon. She was a 1939 graduate of Essex Agricultural School. Mrs. McAllister was a talented seamstress and was a buyer for Weiners Furrier and for Mitchell & Co. of Haverhill. She had also worked as a seamstress for Macartney's. She was a member of Hampstead Congregational Church; the Woman's City Club; Fidelity Chapter No. 90, Order of Eastern Star; and the Order of Rainbow for Girls, Haverhill Assembly No. 39. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wilfred McAllister; one son and his wife, Douglas and Christina McAllister of Amherst; two grandchildren; and two nieces. Funeral services were held Thursday in Hampstead Congregational Church, Hampstead. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, Haverhill. Audrey J. Stomierosky DOVER -- Audrey J. Stomierosky, 58, of 35 Augusta Way, formerly of Rye, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born Sept. 25, 1942, in Olean, N.Y., the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary (Shearer) Hall. She had resided in Rye for 20 years, moving to Dover three weeks ago. She had previously resided in Pittsburgh, Pa., and Toms River, N.J. She was a 1960 graduate of Allegany Central High School and a 1966 graduate of Saint Bonaventure University in New York. Mrs. Stomierosky was employed by Seacoast Newspapers as the features editor for the Hampton Union, Exeter News-Letter, Rockingham County News and the Portsmouth Herald, retiring in 1999 after 13 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Theresa Church, Rye Beach, and was a member of the church choir; a member of Abenaqui Country Club, Rye Beach; and a member of the Portsmouth Women's Chorus and of its board of directors. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert F. Stomierosky of Dover; one son, Daniel Stomierosky of Chiang Mai, Thailand; one daughter and her husband, Lynn and Scott Tripp of Swansea, Mass.; two brothers, David Hall and Ted Hall, both of Allegany, N.Y.; two sisters, Diane Moss of Sparks, Nev., and Phyllis Rice of Hinsdale, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Deborah Stomierosky, who died in 1990. A Memorial Mass was celebrated Monday in St. Theresa Church with the Rev. Maurice Lavigne, pastor, as celebrant. Judy Kish was the organist and directed the liturgical choir. The Portsmouth Women's Chorus also provided a musical tribute. Another Memorial Mass was celebrated Thursday in St. Bonaventure Church.
