He was born in Haverhill, Mass., was a 1952 graduate of Haverhill High School and served in the National Guard for several years. Mr. Lawrence owned and operated Cards and Things in Plaistow from 1970 until 2000. He had previously worked at Western Electric Co., No. Andover, Mass., for 12 years. He was a member of Holy Angels Parish, Plaistow; a 25 year member and past director and treasurer of the Swinging Puckerbrush Chapter of the Good Sam Club; and enjoyed many years of camping in his motor home. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara (Danforth) Lawrence; two sons and their wives, Michael and Shirley Ann Lawrence of Barrington and Daniel B. and Donna Lawrence of Sandown; one daughter and her husband, Deborah and David Waugh of Atkinson; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, David R. Lawrence of Haverhill and Daniel Lawrence of Plaistow; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Plaistow. Robert P. Noyes EAST WAKEFIELD -- Robert P. Noyes, 69, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in Exeter Hospital. He was born April 10, 1932, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of Earl and Rose (Currier) Noyes and had resided in Hampstead for 38 years before moving to East Wakefield. He was educated in Haverhill schools and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict serving on the USS Massey. Mr. Noyes was a serviceman for Suburban Propane retiring in 1991 after many years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 34 of Plaistow and was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and bingo. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothea (Fanaras) Noyes of East Wakefield; three daughters and their husbands, Teresa and Thomas Frank of Brentwood, Kelly and Carl Rullo of Plaistow and Susan and Jeff Gabbard of Stanton, Ken.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Richard Noyes of East Hampstead; one sister, Carol Ann Fetty of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Shirley Earp. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Carol A. Flyzik PLAISTOW -- Carol A. Flyzik, R.N., 40, of Plaistow, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, in New York City. She was a passenger aboard American Airlines flight No. 11. She was born in Sidney, N.Y., and was raised in Georgetown, Mass. She was a 1979 graduate of Georgetown High School where she was a member of the school band, drama club, basketball and field hockey teams. She attended Bridgewater State College and was a graduate of Northern Essex Community College with a degree in nursing. Ms. Flyzik was the supervisor of marketing support at the Framingham, Mass. office of Meditech, Inc. She was previously a staff nurse at Hale Hospital, Haverhill, Mass., from 1985 until 1996 with 10 of those years in the emergency department. She was a member of Gilda's Club and the Human Rights Campaign. She is survived by her life partner, Nancy J. Walsh and her children, Kristin Walsh, Kevin Walsh and Joe Walsh, all of Plaistow; her mother, Janet (Ellis) Flyzik of West Newfield, Maine; one brother, Mark S. Flyzik of Plaistow; two sisters, Linda Pritchard of Brunswick, Maine, and Claudia Flyzik of Atkinson; three nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services were held Wednesday in Georgetown Congregational Church, Georgetown. Arrangements were by Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, Plaistow. Linda L. Richard PLAISTOW -- Linda Lee Richard, 53, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, in Exeter Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Saco, Maine, and lived in Plaistow most of her life. Miss Richard enjoyed cooking and sewing. She is survived by her mother, Virginia (Senter) Richard of Plaistow, with whom she made her home; one sister, Rose Reardon of Plaistow; one brother, Louis Rochussen of Bethel, Vt.; and several nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow. Burial was in Plaistow Cemetery. Geneva O. Barnes RAYMOND -- Geneva Olvine Barnes, 87, of Route 27, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 21, 1913, in Grasmere, the daughter of the late Harrison and Annie (Stearns) Fields. Mrs. Barnes was an innersole stitcher at Burke Shoe, Raymond, for many years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed flea markets, puzzles and spending time with her family. The widow of Frank Davidson Sr., she is survived by two sons, Edgar "Eddie" Barnes of Raymond and Frank Davidson Jr. of Bennington, Vt.; one daughter, Brenda Purington of Raymond; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Tuesday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond, with the Rev. Wayne Van Gundy officiating. Burial was in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. Taylor, 57, of 4 Plaines Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at his home. He was born Dec. 20, 1943, in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Chester and Dorothy (Meers) Taylor. He was raised in Newton, Mass., and had resided in Exeter for 20 years before moving to Raymond 11 years ago. He was a graduate of Newton High School, attended Northeastern University, Boston, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in business administration. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Convey. Mr. Taylor was self employed making computer cables. He had previously been employed in telecommunications for the Multilink Co. and Sigarms. He was a member of the Nippo Lake Golf Club and the Coin Association. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Jeanie M. (Mayes) Taylor of Raymond; one brother, Chester I. Taylor of Waltham, Mass.; one uncle, Theodore Taylor of Springfield, Mass.; several nieces and nephews; and two cousins. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service. Sylvester, 59, of Heath Street, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, in Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, after a lengthy illness. She was born May 3, 1942, in Hibbing, Minn., the daughter of Florence (Haseltine) Prosa of Portland, Ore., and the late Bernard L. Prosa. She was raised in North Bend, Ore., and had resided in Newburyport, Mass., before moving to Newton in 1969. She was a 1960 graduate of North Bend High school. Mrs. Sylvester was a department manager for Wal-Mart in Seabrook for eight years. She was a member of Kingston Congregational Church; a member of the N.E. Sled Dog Club where she served as race manager for many years. She coached cheerleading for the Pop Warner Dolphins and for the Sanborn Regional Middle School and High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 39 years, C. Wesley Sylvester of Newton; one son and his wife, C. Wesley and Shelly Sylvester II of Grover, N.C.; two daughters and their husbands, Holly and John Hennelly of Fremont and Heidi and Andrew Lemieux of Raymond; five grandchildren; two sisters, Shirlie Green of Washington and Robert Quillan of Portland, Ore.; one brother, Richard Prosa of North Bend; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Kingston Congregational Church with the Rev. Dr. David Thomas officiating. Enrico Pacione PLAISTOW -- Enrico "Rick" Pacione, 70, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born March 27, 1931, in Offena, Italy, the son of the late Francesco and Graziella Pacione. He attended school in Italy moving to this country as a teen-ager settling in Quincy, Mass., where he lived for many years. Mr. Pacione was a tailor for several companies including Jones of New York and College Town/Panther. He enjoyed restoring cars and ballroom dancing and was an instructor at many dance clubs in the Boston area. He was an avid bowler and a member of St. Joseph Bowling League; the Sons of Italy of Quincy; and the International Garment Workers Union. He is survived by his wife, Dolores "Dolly" (Zangari) Pacione; one sister, Nina Dionisi of Offena; his mother-in-law, Lena Zangari; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill, Mass. Melburn G. Brown Jr. FREMONT -- Melburn G. Brown Jr., 66, of Country Lane, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in Portsmouth Regional Hospital. He was born in Haverhill, Mass. the son of Melburn and Clarissa (Adams) Brown Sr. of Newton, and had resided in Plaistow and Brentwood. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1951 until 1961. Mr. Brown was a salesman for MASDA Corp. of Ward Hill, Mass., for the past eight years and was previously a barber in Plaistow and Kingston. He was a member of Epping Bible Baptist Church and the Carl G. Davis Post No. 34 of the American Legion, Plaistow. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Renate (Brauer) Brown; one son and his wife, Michael M. and Rose Brown of Raymond; two grandsons; one brother, Raymond Brown of Haverhill; two aunts; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Atkinson Cemetery.
