Brown ALTON -- Dale James Brown, 41, of Stockbridge Corner Road, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at his home from complications of cystic fibrosis. He was born Dec. 3, 1959, in Methuen, Mass., the son of Clinton J. and Susanna (Sargent) Brown of Alton. He had resided in Weare for 15 years and in Raymond for several years, moving to Alton seven years ago. He was a 1979 graduate of Raymond High School. Mr. Brown was a Nascar fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Gary A. Brown of Auburn; three sisters, Karen J. Carleton of Deerfield, Sherry L. Ferioli of Alton and Lisa S. Andrews of Concord; his parternal grandmother, Elizabeth S. Brown of Plaistow; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the C.E. Peaslee and Son Alton Funeral Home, Alton. Walter Givetz Jr. EXETER -- Walter Givetz Jr., 59, of 7 Cedar St., died Monday, Oct. 8, 2001, at his home after a brief illness. He was born June 16, 1942, in Portsmouth the son of Walter Givetz Sr. of Exeter and the late Sue (Lorenzo) Givetz. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Paula (Beaulieu) Givetz; four sons, Roy Givetz of New Durham, Thomas Givetz of Milford and Scott Givetz and Alan Givetz, both of Exeter; two daughters, Debra Matthews of Fremont and Diane Givetz of Newmarket; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Ann Jenks of Horton, Mich., Joan Wyman of Newfields and Gail Hoyt of Fremont, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in Exeter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833. Theresa Lang CONCORD -- Theresa (Vincent) Lang, 75, a longtime resident of Exeter, died Oct. 4, 2001, at Hospice House in Concord following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 18, 1926, in Manchester, the daughter of Albert A. Vincent and Eva (Gamache) Vincent, moving to Exeter in 1941. She attended Robinson Female Seminary and was a graduate of Lawrence Academy of Beauty Culture. Mrs. Lang owned and operated Theresa Lang's Beauty Shop for 25 years. She was co-owner of H.O. Taylor Chevrolet in Wells River, Vt., and Walt Lang Chevrolet in Pittsfield. She retired in 1989 and enjoyed traveling to more than 42 countries. Her commitment to volunteerism throughout her lifetime was evident in the countless hours spent volunteering at Exeter Hospital, Concord Senior Center, Disability Rights Center, Pleasantview Retirement Community, Governor's Office on Volunteerism, N.H. Task Force Against Child Abuse and N.H. Celebrates Wellness. She ushered at Concord City Auditorium for the Community Concert Series and the Granite State Symphony Orchestra; was a member of the Exeter Garden Club; the Exeter Women's Club; the Exeter Booster Club; the Senior Wellness Team in Concord for four years; and was especially pleased to help Hike, Bike & Run for the Homeless, sponsored by the Salvation Army. The International Association of Reiki Professionals recognized her as a Reiki Practitioner in January of 2000. The widow of Walter R. Lang, her husband of 43 years, she is survived by Richard and Wendy Lang of Kingston, Dennis and June Lang of Louisville, Ken., George and Jeannette Lang of Mystic, Conn., David and Sharon Lang Sweetser of Nottingham and Robert and Karen Christensen-Lang of Cape Neddick, Maine; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Annette, Eve, Lucille and Ruth; and one brother, Albert. She was predeceased by one son, Mark G. Lang; four sisters, Lillian, Mae, Ida, and Blanche; and two brothers, Albert and George. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. in United Church of Christ, Route 111A, Brentwood. Private burial services will be held in Exeter Cemetery at a later date.
