Elizabeth Stone PORTSMOUTH -- Elizabeth (Shinberg) Stone, of 188 Jones Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at SunBridge of Portsmouth. She was born in Lawrence, Mass., the daughter of Israel and Goldie Shinberg. Mrs. Stone and her late husband owned and operated the Stone Clothing Store in Exeter for 49 years. They had previously owned a grocery store in Exeter from 1942 until 1950. She was a member of Temple Israel; the Hadassah; and the Sisterhood of the Temple. The widow of Maurice Stone, she is survived by one son and his wife, Ira M. and Veta Stone of Seabrook; one granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel, Portsmouth. George Storm, M.D. KINGSTON -- George "Jerry" Storm, M.D., 68, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Exeter Healthcare after a courageous battle with cancer. Dr. Storm was a pediatrician who specialized in behavioral and developmental pediatrics and practiced in southeastern New Hampshire for more than 35 years. He was well known as an advocate for children with ADD, ADHD and other learning and behavioral disabilities. Through the care of his patients and the education of parents, teachers and professionals, he had a significant impact on the lives of many children and families. His activities included jazz piano, reading, paddle tennis, tennis, downhill and cross-country skiing, nature hikes, swimming and clearing trails in the woods. Over the years he took up photography, flyfishing, yoga, solo canoeing, refinishing furniture and learning to fly. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Storm of Kingston; two sons, Thacher Storm and Anthony Storm, both of Boxford, Mass.; two grandchildren; three sisters, Sally Lockee of LaGrange, Tenn., Mary Allen of Philadelphia and Elsie Wilmerding of Boston; and his former wife and mother of his children, Jane Storm of Brentwood. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. in Phillips Church, Tan Lane and Front Street, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Medico Children's Services, 266 Beacon St., Boston, MA 02116. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter.
