Cascio RAYMOND -- Lionell A. "Butch" Cascio, 65, of Green Road, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at his home after a courageous year-long battle from complications following surgery. He was born March 5, 1936, in Roxbury, Mass., the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Maggio) Cascio. He was raised by Angelo and Mae Aquino in Somerville, Mass., and had resided in Raymond for 35 years. He was a 1954 graduate of Somerville High School and was an Army veteran. Mr. Cascio owned and operated Auto Trans in Raymond for 20 years. He had previously been a mechanic for Genest Ford and Chrysler-Plymouth in Manchester for many years. He was a former member of the Derry Sportsmen's Club and was a ham radio operator using the call letters N1VWR. He enjoyed spending time with his family and training hunting dogs. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Helena "Honey" Cascio of Raymond; two daughters, Lynn Paquette of Allenstown and Denise Cascio Bolduc of Hooksett; one son, Kim Cascio of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two grandchildren; six siblings, Florence, Nunzio, Angel, Ollie, Pearl and Kenny; and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, Candia. A reception will follow at noon at Denise Bolduc's home, 6 Sunrise Blvd., Hooksett. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Charles B. Clark BRENTWOOD -- Charles B. Clark, 87, of North Road, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. He was born June 4, 1914, in Hampstead and was a lifelong resident of Hampstead. Mr. Clark was an active member of Hampstead Congregational Church, where he served as a deacon, passed the collection plate and handled maintenance. He was a former member of the Hampstead School Board, serving for 19 years. The husband of the late Jennie M. (Cartier) Clark, who died in 1985, he is survived by one daughter, Jean E. Sharpe of Danville; two sons, Everett C. Clark of Pelham and Allen W. Clark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth H. Clark of Hampstead; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Elizabeth Boisse of Sandown. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Hampstead Congregational Church, Hampstead. Arthur H. Courteau EXETER -- Arthur Henri Courteau, 75, of 12 Lee's Mobile Home Park, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 27, 1926, in Auburn, Mass., the son of the late Lucien and Alice (Vaudreuil) Courteau and had resided in Fremont for 31 years before coming to Exeter. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving as a torpedo man. Mr. Courteau owned and operated Martco Engravers for 35 years. He had previously been employed by Raytheon and Sanders Associates. He enjoyed square dancing, round dancing and camping. He was an avid ham radio operator. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Dolson) Courteau of Exeter; two daughters, Gail Dennis of Holden, Mass., and Linda Courteau of Worcester, Mass.; three stepchildren, Francis, Carol and John; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Irene Clark and Virginia Weagle, both of the Worcester area; one brother, Robert Courteau of Mulberry, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at his home. Elsie M. Pimental EXETER -- Elsie Mae Pimental, 75, formerly of 277 Water St., died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Exeter Healthcare after a period of failing health. She was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Amesbury, Mass., the daughter of the late Edwin H. and Ruth F. (Murray) Meserve. She resided in Chicopee and Ludlow, Mass., for many years, moving to Exeter three years ago. She was a graduate of Amesbury High School. Mrs. Pimental was a bookkeeper for Sears in Exeter and for Amesbury area businesses. She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing and knitting. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Kenneth J. Pimental; three sons, Laurence K. Dobson of Exeter, Myron K. Dobson of Kingston and Glenn F. Dobson of Cumming, Ga.; five grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Meserve of Kensington; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Pauline Rock KINGSTON -- Pauline "Pat" Rock, 80, of Scotland Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Oakfield, Maine, the daughter of the late Ray and Alma (Burpee) Linton and had resided in Kingston for more than 50 years. Mrs. Rock had been a dietitian at the Havaland Nursing Home, Haverhill, Mass. She was a member of Kingston Congregational Church for more than 30 years, where she sang with the choir. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1088 for 24 years; the Kingston Senior Citizens; and was a fund raiser for the Kensington American Legion Post No. 105. The widow of Robert D. Rock, who died in 1993, she is survived by one daughter and her husband, Barbara and Robert Pothier of Kingston; three grandchildren; one sister, Myrtle Scott of Newton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter with the Rev. Wendall Irvine officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston. Harold E. Venner Jr. CHESTER -- Harold E. Venner Jr., 73, of Raymond Road, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at his home. He was born Dec. 10, 1928, in Derry, the son of the late Harold E. and Hazel (Kimball) Venner Sr. and had resided in Chester for 46 years. Mr. Venner was a chief master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force and served with the Air National Guard. He was a member of Chester Congregational Church and was a former selectman in Chester. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roberta M. (Harvey) Venner of Chester; three daughters and their husbands, Cheryl V. and Joseph Silva of Kingston, Debra V. and Wayne Potter of Londonderry and Janice E. and Glenn Bethune of Isleboro, Maine; two sons, Jeffrey A. Venner and David P. Venner, both of Chester; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Grant of Haverhill, Mass.; one brother, Paul Graham of Deerfield; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Thursday in Chester Congregational Church, Chester.
