Bondelevitch KINGSTON -- Stanley W. Bondelevitch, 83, of Beach Drive, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont. He was born March 29, 1918, in Boston, the son of the late Walter and Mary (Kasparavitch) Bondelevitch. He was raised in Acton, Mass., and had resided in Swampscott, Mass., for 25 years before moving to Kingston. He was a graduate of Acton High School and Saint Anselm College where he played football and was inducted in the Saint Anselm College Hall of Fame. He played on the last team at St. Anselm and played professional football for the Providence Steamrollers. He was a U.S. Naval Air Force and Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving with the 3rd Air Force Division. Mr. Bondelevitch began his football coaching career in Maynard, Mass., where he coached for one year, then coached in Hudson, Mass., for three years before beginning a 24-year tenure as head coach and athletic director with Swampscott High School from 1953 until 1976. He coached at Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody, Mass., from 1977 until 1982 when he returned to Swampscott High school from 1983 until 1986. He was elected to the State Football Players Hall of Fame in 1977. He recorded a career record of 251-125-11 with nine undefeated seasons, 10 Northeast Conference titles, a victory in the first Super Bowl over Catholic Memorial in 1972. He tied Dracut's Ed Murphy for the state record of 41 years in coaching. He was inducted into the Swampscott High School Hall of Fame. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Patricia (Donovan) Bondelevitch of Kingston; two daughters, Sally DeCost of Plaistow and Nancy Joy and her husband Alan of Center Barnstead; one son and his wife, David and Rachel Bondelevitch of Hollywood, Calif.; two grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; several nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy (Tierney) Bondelevitch; one brother, Barney Bondelevitch; and one sister, Mary Killis. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Front and Lincoln streets, Exeter. A reception will follow at the Exeter Inn from 10 a.m. to noon. Committal services will be held Wednesday at 1:15 p.m. in Swampscott Cemetery, Swampscott, Mass. F. Anne Madej PLAISTOW -- F. Anne (Whitney) Madej, 53, of 10 Kimball Ave., died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Elliot Hospital, Manchester, following a brief illness. She was raised in Dorchester, Mass., and had resided in Plaistow for 25 years coming from Weymouth, Mass. She attended Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School. Mrs. Madej was employed in the claims department of Insurance Solutions Corp. of Plaistow for four years. She had previously been employed by Nynex Mobile Communications and New England Tel. & Tel. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert F. Madej; two daughters, Christine Donnelly of Kensington and Karen Driscoll and her husband Jayson of Exeter; five grandchildren; her parents, John and Florence (McIntyre) Whitney of Quincy, Mass.; one brother, John Whitney Jr. of Braintree, Mass.; one sister, Joan Climo of Wollaston, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. (Watson) Ryan Maxell, 75, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Plaistow, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at her daughter's home in Haverhill after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. She was born July 15, 1926, in Merrimac, Mass., the daughter of the late Merle V. and Beryl (Owens) Watson. She attended Merrimac schools and was a 1944 graduate of the former Merrimac High School. Mrs. Maxell worked in the admitting office at the former Hale Hospital; was a receptionist at Pentucket Medical Associates; was a secretary in the Haverhill office of United Shoe Machinery Co.; worked in the advertising department of the Haverhill Independent, which was co-founded by her late husband, Robert B. Ryan, who died in 1983. She retired from Rockingham County Newspapers in Exeter in 1986. She was a longtime active member of the Portland Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Maxell; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephen M. and Darlene Ryan, Mark E. Ryan of Raymond and Christopher and Lauren Ryan of Hampstead; one daughter and her husband, Ramona R. and David Francis of Haverhill; eight grandchildren; one stepson and his wife, Robert L. and Cathy Maxell of Anchorage, Alaska; two stepgrandchildren; one brother, William G. Pruden, 102, of Main Street, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home following a brief illness. He was born Nov. 3, 1899, in Basking Ridge, N.J., the son of the late Fred W. and Amelda (Mutchler) Pruden. He had resided in East Orange and Maplewood, N.J., and in Sandown moving to Fremont in 1996. Mr. Pruden was employed by Western Electric and Bell Laboratories retiring in 1964. He was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, Sandown; the 60 Plus Club; many Masonic lodges in New Jersey and New Hampshire; and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He is survived by one nephew, Robert Fuechsel of Whippany, N.J.; two cousins; and several grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Lillian Snable and Bertha Stevens, his wife of 20 years; one brother, Robert Pruden; and one sister, Rilda Fueschsel. Saindon, 15, of 1 Page Road, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Boston Floating Hospital of the New England Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Haverhill, Mass., and had resided in Kingston for many years. Joel attended the D.J. Bakie School, Kingston, and Newton Memorial School, Newton. He enjoyed reading, raising farm animals and fishing. He also enjoyed the Halloween season and had a large collection of police badges. He is survived by his parents, Michael J. and Lisa B. (Wilmot) Saindon of Kingston; two brothers, Eric A. Saindon and Chad M. Saindon, both of Kingston; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. (Lipka) Stratton, 61, of Iron Wheel Road, died Monday, March 18, 2002, in Parkland Medical Center, Derry. She was born May 25, 1940, in Salem, Mass., the daughter of Priscilla (Szalkowska) Lipka of Salem, Mass., and the late Stanley Lipka. She had resided in Beverly, Mass., and Windham before moving to Danville 16 years ago. Mrs. Stratton had been employed as a secretary most of her life and enjoyed flowers and animals. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of two years, Russell G. Stratton of Raymond; three sons, Glenn Tillson and Gary Tillson, both of Raymond, and Gregg Tillson of Kingston; two grandchildren; one sister, Linda Moore of Byfield, Mass.; two brothers, Robert Lipka of Peabody, Mass., and Paul Lipka of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Karen McLean, who died in 1994. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Route 27, Epping. Thibeault, 58, of Parade Road, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, in Exeter Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born April 5, 1943, in Manchester, the son of the late Wilfred and Alice (Leduc) Thibeault. He was raised in Concord and had resided in Raymond and Deerfield for 16 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Thibeault was a corrections officer at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood for the past 15 years. He had previously worked as an orderly at the N.H. State Hospital in Concord, as a security guard at St. Paul's School in Concord, and as a corrections officer at the N.H. State Prison for 15 years, attaining the rank of sergeant. He enjoyed camping, the ocean and animals. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Beverly (Hitchcock) Thibeault of Deerfield, one son, Keith J. Thibeault Sr., of Penacook; four daughters, Shelley Calley of Concord, and Sherry, Candy and Tina Thibeault, all of Manchester; one stepdaughter, Betty Jo Cooper of Monticello, Fla.; six grandchildren; one brother, Robert Thibeault of Loudon; one sister, Jacqueline Miner of Penacook; and several nieces and nephews. Welch RAYMOND -- John R. Welch, 75, of Acre Street, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Parkland Medical Center, Derry, after a sudden illness. He was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Plaistow, the son of the late John B. and Esther (Manchester) Welch. He was raised in Danville and had resided in Raymond for 50 years. He was educated in Danville schools and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Welch was an assembler at New England Armatures in Danville for more than 30 years. He worked part-time as a meat cutter running a business out of his home. He enjoyed hunting, fly fishing and fly tying. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha E. (Smith) Welch of Raymond; four daughters, Martha J. Welch of Raymond, Kathy Vieira of Manchester, Julie Welch of Raymond and Ruth Burleigh of Newmarket; three sons, Russell L. Welch of Peru, Maine, Walter Welch of Raymond, and John R. Welch Jr. of Pembroke; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mae Roche of Manchester and Miriam Pelletier of Penacook; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Noel, 91, of 726 River Road, formerly of Plaistow, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at his home. He was born in Haverhill and had resided in Dorchester for 24 years. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School and Bible School in Hephzibah, Maine. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Noel was a librarian at the Dorchester Public Library and was an instructor in biblical studies. He was the former supervisor of the laundry at Bradford Junior College and had also worked for Western Electric Co. in North Andover, Mass. He was a member of Assembly of God Church of Canaan; the Happy Golden Years Grange of Dorchester; and the American Legion Post No. 55 of Canaan. He is survived by his wife, Ruby A. (Huntley) Noel; one son, Maj. John H.T. Noel of El Paso, Tex.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Hazel and Tom Crowley of Dorchester, Rosalie D. Schmidt of Haverhill; Althea B. Schmidt-Broderick and William Broderick of Haverhill and Thalia H. and Robert Van Middlesworth of Canton, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. (Sturtevant) O'Neill, 81, of Haverhill Crossings, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at Oxford Manor. She was born in Haverhill and had resided in Plum Island, Mass., for 35 years before recently moving back to Haverhill. She was educated in Haverhill schools. Mrs. O'Neill was a housewife and had worked as a licensed practical nurse many years ago. She and her husband were foster parents to more than 100 children over the years. She was the wife of Michael O'Neill who followed her in death seven hours later at Oxford Manor. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Elsworth P. and Sadra Landry of Williston, Fla., Daniel and Bonnie Landry of Danvers, Mass., and Michael and Doris Landry of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter and her husband, Barbara and Billy Langdon of Pensacola; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Sturtevant of Plaistow; two sisters, Esther Janescyzki and Christine Perrault, both of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three daughters, Carol Stevens, Betty Landry and Laurie O'Neill. Funeral services were held Saturday in Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, Plaistow. Burial was in Walnut Cemetery, Haverhill. Michael O'Neill HAVERHILL, Mass. -- Michael O'Neill, 76, of Haverhill Crossings, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at Oxford manor. He was born in Boston and had resided in Plum Island, Newburyport, before returning to Haverhill. He was educated in Roxbury, Mass. schools. Mr. O'Neill was a truck driver for several companies, retiring from Danvers Box Co. He and his late wife were foster parents to more than 100 children over the years. He was the husband of Stella A. (Sturtevant) O'Neill, who died seven hours earlier at Oxford Manor. He is survived by three sons and their wives, Elsworth P. and Sadra Landry of Williston, Fla., Daniel and Bonnie Landry of Danvers, Mass., and Michael and Doris Landry of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter and her husband, Barbara and Billy Langdon of Pensacola; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was born May 8, 1959, in Winchester, Mass., the daughter of Wes Roberts of Hampton and Shirley (Forbes) Fuller of North Hampton. She was raised in Kingston and had resided in Hampton for several years. She was a graduate of Sanborn Regional High School. Mrs. Pinto and her husband owned and operated Pinto Construction Company of Hampton and she was previously a certified nursing assistant at Seacoast Health Center and SunBridge of Exeter. She enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Joe Pinto of Hampton; one son, Cliff Chapman of Newton; one daughter, Ariana Harding of Lowell, Mass.; and her maternal grandmother, Maggie Forbes of North Hampton. Jeanette Plouffe BOKEELIA, Fla. -- Jeanette (Rock) Plouffe, 90, a former resident of Exeter and North Danville Road, Kingston, died January 11, 2002, in Florida after a brief illness. She was born March 20, 1911, in Haverhill, Mass., the daughter of Edward and Corrine (Marsolais) Champagne. Mrs. Plouffe was a postal worker at the Kingston Post Office for more than 21 years. She was a former communicant of St. Michael Church, Exeter. The widow of Elmer Rock, who died in 1980, and Arthur Plouffe, a longtime Exeter selectman who died in 1993, she is survived by one brother, Clifford Champagne of Manchester; one sister, Dolores Brusso of Santa Anna, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston. Rev. Marc Drouin of St. Michael Church, Exeter, will conduct the committal prayers.
