Etta Mae Bossie RAYMOND -- Etta Mae Bossie, 87, of Floral Avenue, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at her daughter's home in Raymond after a lengthy illness. She was born June 6, 1914, in Raymond, the daughter of the late Heber and Annie (Pike) Brown and was a lifelong resident of Raymond. Mrs. Bossie owned and operated several local restaurants. She was a member of the American Legion Post 69 Ladies Auxiliary of Arlington, Vt., and enjoyed spending time with her family. The widow of Robert Bossie, who died in 1978, she is survived by one daughter, Karen Tenney of Raymond; two sons, Joseph I. Ryan Jr. of Micanobe, Fla., and Thomas P. Ryan Sr. of Arlington, Vt.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Dickinson of Raymond; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at her daughter's home, 37 Main St., Raymond. Josselyn Sr. FREMONT -- Robert F. Josselyn Sr., of Leavitt Road, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at SunBridge Rehabilitation center, Exeter, after a brief illness. He was born March 14, 1932, in Camden, Maine, the son the late Horace and Leotia (Peirce) Josselyn. He was raised in Camden, and moved to Exeter in 1965 before residing in Fremont for 16 years. He was a 1950 graduate of Camden High School. Mr. Josselyn was employed by Milliken Industries of Exeter for many years and later for Shaftmaster. He was previously employed by the Knox Woolen Mill in Camden. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Florence (Taylor) Josselyn of Fremont; four daughters and their husbands, Pamela and Doug Stewart of Warren, Maine, Brenda and David Erlach of California, Cheryl Josselyn and Ronald Eldredge of Exeter and Cynthia and LeRoy Jameson of Warren; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Grace Josselyn Jr., of Hope, Maine, Mark and Diane Josselyn of Hampton, and Carl Leonard of Florida; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Carver of Camden, Beatrice Winslow of Rockland, Maine, and Jessie Jacobs of Hope; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Burial was in Leavitt Cemetery, Fremont. S.A. Lex Kirk, Ph.D. SANDOWN -- Dr. S.A. Lex Kirk, 71, of 54 Pillsbury Road, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Mass. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, and had resided in Sandown for 34 years. He was a 1954 graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in physical and health education, and received his bachelor of theology in 1958 and his bachelor of divinity in 1966 from Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto. He was ordained into the Anglican priesthood in 1958 for the Diocese of Toronto and was assistant minister at Trinity Church, Toronto, and priest-in-charge for the parishes of St. Paul's Church, Beaverton, St. Mary's Church, Sunderland, and All Saints' Church, Cannington. The Rev. Kirk moved to Haverhill, Mass., in 1964 and was an interim rector of Trinity Episcopal Church. In 1965 he was appointed vicar of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, Plaistow, and served in that capacity until 1968. He was canonically associated as an extra-parochial vicar for the Diocese of New Hampshire and was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church, Salem. He received his Ph.D. in psychology and pastoral counseling in 1975 from Boston University and served the area as a clinical psychologist until his retirement in 1997. He served as an assistant professor of psychology at Nasson College in Springfield, Maine, from 1968 until 1970, as the director of the psychological counseling service at the former Mount St. Mary College, Hooksett, from 1970 to 1973, and as a clinical psychologist at Psychiatric Services, Inc., of Haverhill in 1975 and 1976 and as a clinical intern and later clinical supervisor of interns at Danielson Pastoral Counseling Services of Boston University until 1978. Licensed as a psychologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1973 and as a certified psychologist by the state of New Hampshire since 1980, he established his private practice at his home in Sandown 34 years ago. The Rev. Dr. Kirk was a scuba divemaster; an avid wilderness canoe tripper and master canoe instructor. He was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla No. 35; the Boy Scouts of Canada and America; a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of Swift Water Council, Inc; and a member of the Sandown Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the American Psychological Association; the American Association of Pastoral Counselors; the American Group Psychotherapy Association; a founder of the National Register of Certified Group Psychotherapists; the N.H. Psychological Association; the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists; the American Academy of Psychotherapists; and the Northeastern Society for Group Therapy. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Vera (Boyko) Kirk; two sons, Jacob A. Kirk and his wife Kim of Hampstead and Peter J. Kirk of Windham; one daughter, Carys A. Kirk of Windham; twin grandsons; one sister, Janet Bailey of Toronto; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in St. David's Episcopal Church, 231 Main St., Salem.
