Kjerulf PLAISTOW -- Kenneth R. Kjerulf, 18, of 4 Ingalls Terrace, died April 8, 2002, in Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, Mass. He was born in Exeter and had resided in Plaistow all of his life. He attended Sweethill Nursery School, Pollard School and was a senior at Timberlane Regional High School. He was planning on attending Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., in the fall. Kenneth was a member of student council at Timberlane and was a recipient of the adviser award in grades 11 and 12. He was a member of the yearbook committee; Students of Service; the winter track team; and Mealey's Meals Program. He had played baseball for the Plaistow Recreation League and was a member of the Travel All Star team in 1998. He was an accomplished sailor and held a black belt in karate. He was a member of Holy Angels Parish, Plaistow, and attended the Catskill Mountain Christian Camp. He was a kitchen helper at Primo Pasta in Plaistow and worked in construction with his father in the southern Connecticut area. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carolann (Sargent) and James Silva of Plaistow; his father, Ronald Kjerulf of East Haven, Conn.; three brothers, James A. Silva Jr., Matthew J. Silva and Tyler M. Silva, all of Plaistow; his stepmother, Joyce Clabaugh of East Haven; one stepsister, Lyesa Hamar of East Haven; his grandparents, Daniel and Lucy Nugent of Milford, Conn., and Ronald and Marion (Torrey) Sargent of North Berwick, Maine; his great-grandmothers, Mechelina Lauricella of Milford, Conn., and Mary Sargent, Arlene Sargent and Beatrice Hall, all of Haverhill, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Plaistow. Burial will be in Plaistow Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Kenneth R. Kjerulf Scholarship Fund, c/o Banknorth, Plaistow Road, Route 125, Plaistow NH 03865. David N. Welch CONCORD -- David N. Welch, 28, died Monday, April 8, 2002, in Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston, after a lengthy illness. He was born April 11, 1973, in Exeter, the son of Neal and Inez (Smith) Welch of Raymond, and was raised in Raymond. He was a 1991 graduate of Raymond High School where he played baseball and basketball, and a 1993 graduate of Stratham Technical College with a degree in drafting. Mr. Welch was a computer draftsman at Meggitt Avionics for five years. He was an avid fly fisherman and an accomplished fly tier. He enjoyed golf, hiking, skiing and mountain biking. He played in men's basketball and hockey leagues and had a brown belt in karate. He enjoyed nature and animals. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 11 1/2 years, Melynie (West) Welch of Concord; one sister, Alison LaCasse of Raymond; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Raymond Congregational Church, on the Common, Raymond, with the Rev. Neil Iverson officiating. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.
