Brock, M.D. NEW LONDON -- Warren H. Brock, M.D., 80, of Main Street, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at his home. He was born July 2, 1921, in Manchester, the son of Maurice J. and Loretta (Goodwin) Brock. He had resided in New London since 1982. He was a 1939 graduate of Towle High School, Newport, a 1943 graduate of the University of New Hampshire, and attended medical school at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, graduating in 1945. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a captain in Aberdeen, Md., and Swannanoa, N.C. Dr. Brock practiced medicine in family practice in Old Greenwich, Conn., from 1949 until 1982. He was a resident physician at Greenwich Hospital and New London Hospital and at the Warner Clinic of the New London Hospital. He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in New London. He was past president of the Old Greenwich Lions Club, the Greenwich Medical Society and a member of the Old Greenwich Volunteer Fire Department. Dr. Brock was a diplomate and charter member of the American Board of Family Practice in 1970 and a charter member of the Family Motor Coach Association No. 77; a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and of Alpha Kappa Kappa Fraternity. He enjoyed camping, backgammon, cribbage and chess. He is survived by three sons, Stephen R. Brock of Croydon, Christopher W. Brock of Apex, N.C., and Bradley W. Brock of Willow Spring, N.C.; three daughters, Lauretta J. Brown of New London, Barbara E. Marsh of New Hartford, Conn., and Heather E. Benotti of Raymond; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Brock of Candia; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla E. (Golden) Brock; his former wife, Gail Carson; one son, Warren R. Brock; and one brother, James Brock. Memorial services were held Wednesday in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, New London. Burial was in West Part Cemetery, New London. Currier ZEPHYR HILLS, Fla. -- Jewell Edward Currier, 80, formerly of South Hampton, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at Hernando Pasco Hospice, Dade City, Fla. He was born July 26, 1921, in Amesbury, Mass., the son of the late Earl M. and Ella A. (Jewell) Currier. He had resided in South Hampton and Wakefield before moving to Florida. He was a graduate of Sanborn Seminary, Kingston, and Essex Agricultural School. Mr. Currier was a postal clerk at the Amesbury post office, retiring in 1982. He had previously worked at the University of New Hampshire. He served several terms as selectman in South Hampton. He was a longtime member of St. James Episcopal Church, Amesbury, where he was a former deacon. He was a member and past master of Gideon Lodge of Kingston; a member of Scottish Rite Bodies; Bektash Temple; Fidelity Grange of South Hampton; the New Hampshire Grange; and a former member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife, Doris L. (Hemond) Currier; one son, Ronald L. Currier of South Hampton; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Donald F. Currier of South Hampton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, James E. Currier; and one sister, Dorothy Gray. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Paul C. Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury. Masonic services will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. by the officers of Gideon Lodge. Grange services will be conducted at 5:45 p.m. by the officers of Fidelity Grange. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, Main Street, Amesbury. Burial will be in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Amesbury. Davis EAST KINGSTON -- Carol A. Davis, 55, of 23 Depot Road, died Monday, May 13, 2002, in Exeter Hospital. She was born June 3, 1946, in Salem, Mass., the daughter of Vivian D. (Barnett) James of Peabody, Mass., and the late Robert H. James. She was raised in Peabody and had lived in East Kingston for most of her life. She was a graduate of Veterans High School, Peabody, and Salem State College. Mrs. Davis was a history and social studies teacher at Triton High School for 35 years and was very active with the school system. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association; a trustee of the East Kingston Public Library; and was a very strong advocate for the organ donation program. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening reading and the ocean. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 32 years, James C. Davis of East Kingston; two daughters, Gretchen N. Noyes of Kingston and Jennifer E. Davis of East Kingston; two grandchildren; and one sister, Sandra E. Butler of Boscawen. A celebration of her life will be held May 25 at 1 p.m. in the East Kingston Town Hall, Route 107, East Kingston. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter. Kathleen L. Jenne LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Kathleen Lee Jenne, of 6653 Telegraph Road, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at her home. She was born in Los Angeles and had resided in Plaistow and Kingston. She attended Wilkerson and El Monte High School. Mrs. Jenne was a surgical nurse at Huntington Memorial Hospital and the West Covina Hospital in California. While living in this area, she was employed by the former Goodwin Nursing Home in Exeter and operated a pizza shop and cake design business in Kingston. She attended First Baptist Church in Plaistow and was a member of the church choir and a member of the Plaistow Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a team mother of the South Hills Little League in West Covina. She is survived by her husband, Robert Jenne of Las Vegas; one son, Robert of Indianapolis; one daughter, Robin of Reno, Nev.; and two granddaughters. Lillian Pearce RAYMOND -- Lillian Pearce, 76, of 4 Ledgewood Lane, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, in Exeter Hospital. She was born March 3, 1926, in Milton, Mass., the daughter of the late Gilmore and Anna (Coburn) Sanfilippo. She resided on the south shore of Boston moving to Hampton in 1959. She moved to Florida in 1979 and had most recently lived in Exeter, Epping and Raymond. Mrs. Pearce enjoyed music, gardening, flowers, crafts and children. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rudolph A. Pearce; four sons, Stephen Pearce of North Hampton, John Pearce of Wolfeboro Falls, William Pearce of Newmarket and Thomas Pearce of Heathrow, Fla.; four daughters, Carolyn Bray of Nashua, Sandra Hunt of Houston, Tex., Sharon Mulligan of Brandon, Fla., and Barbara Bragg of Nottingham; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Dunbar of Abington, Mass., and Fred Dunbar of Norwell, Mass.; and two sisters, Bertha Hill of California and Jessie Bradley of Hingham, Mass. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, North Hampton.
