Irene Albright BRENTWOOD -- Irene (Pratt) Albright, 91, died July 18, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. She was born July 3, 1911, in Rutland, Vt., the daughter of George and Ina (Fuller) Pratt, and was a long-time resident of Epping. Mrs. Albright was well known for delivering the Manchester Union Leader and New Hampshire Sunday News for more than 25 years. She is survived by four sons, Peter Hanley of Ware, Mass., Robert Albright of Concord, and Howard Phelps and Steven Albright, both of Epping; two daughters, Virginia Morrison of Epping and Dorothy Cate of Plaistow; 14 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Pratt of Sunapee; and one cousin. Memorial services will be held at the conveninece of the family. Assistance with the arrangements is by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping. Lucy S. Downing RAYMOND -- Lucy S. Downing, 92, died Monday, July 22, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood. She was born March 12, 1910, in Yonkers, N.Y., the daughter of the late Gustaf and Lucy (Roebottom) Strandell, and was a longtime resident of Raymond. Mrs. Downing was employed by Burke Shoe Co., Raymond, for many years. She enjoyed making crafts for her family and friends. The widow of Vernon Downing, who died in 1987, she is survived by one stepson, Eldon Downing of Connecticut; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Joan Welch of Raymond. She was predeceased by one stepson, Frank Downing; two sisters, Amelia Wormwood and Louise Howard; and one brother, Harry Strandell. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond with the Rev. Neil Iverson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. Helen R. Eaton RAYMOND -- Helen R. Eaton, 61, of Nottingham Road, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 26, 1941, in Brentwood, the daughter of the late Jessie and Vera (Drew) Hodgdon and had been a longtime resident of Raymond. Mrs. Eaton was a member of the American Legion Post 51 Ladies Auxiliary She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Peter P. Eaton of Raymond; five daughters, Helen V. Davis of Deerfield, Monalisa Eaton of Raymond, Brenda J. Trombley of Manchester, and Jacqueline Gagnon and Holly Eaton, both of Hampton; two sons, David P. Eaton and Andrew Eaton, both of Raymond; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; six sisters, Gwendolyn Hodgdon of Raymond, Barbara Thompson of Conway, Maxine Philbrick and Carla Gorman, both of Raymond, Carolyne Cameron of Farmington and Flora Gardener of Northwood; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond. Gilson, 54, of Sherwood Glen, died Sunday, July 21, 2002, in Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover. She was born March 18, 1948, in Manchester, the daughter of the late George and Virginia (Bournival) Treantafel. She was raised in Raymond and had resided in Portsmouth and Norwich, N.Y., before moving to Somersworth four years ago. Mrs. Gilson was formerly a sales clerk at Simplex in Newington and a salesperson at Fernald Lumber in Nottingham. She enjoyed gardening and working around her house. The widow of David Gilson, she is survived by one daughter, Nicholle Elliott of Rollinsford; one son, Robert T. Elliott of Sarasota, Fla.; two granddaughters; one sister, Virginia O'Brien of Hampton; one brother, George A. Treantafel of Raymond; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Dale F. Treantafel, and two brothers, Phillip A. and Ronald P. Treantafel. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, with the Rev. McGee PLAISTOW -- Nancy M. (Fichera) McGee, 70, died Saturday, July 20, 2002, in Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, Mass. She was born July 2, 1932, in Lawrence, Mass., the daughter of the late Giovanni and Alfia (DiSalvo) Fichera, and had resided in Plaistow for 40 years. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Mrs. McGee was employed by Bradlee's in Plaistow for 10 years, retiring in 1996. She had previously been employed by AVCO Co., Wilmington, Mass. She was a member of Holy Angels Parish, Plaistow. The widow of Edward L. McGee, who died in 1984, she is survived by two daughters, Brenda J. Dailey of Newton and Maureen A. McGee of Haverhill, Mass.; and one grandson. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday in Holy Angels Church, Plaistow. Burial was in Plaistow Cemetery. Arrangements were by the C. Frank Linnehan & Son Funeral Service, Haverhill. George G. Miller NORTH HAMPTON -- George G. Miller, 76, of 222 Atlantic Ave., died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in Exeter Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of the late Ernest H. and Florence (Foster) Miller. He attended Amesbury (Mass.) High School and was a 1949 graduate of Sanborn Regional High School, Kingston. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving from 1943 until 1947. Mr. Miller was appointed postmaster for the North Hampton Post Office in 1972 and served in that capacity until his retirement in 1984. He had worked part time as a rural carrier for the post office beginning in 1956 and had previously worked for the Boston & Maine Railroad from 1949 until 1964. He was a member of United Church of Christ, North Hampton; served with the North Hampton Volunteer Fire Department; was chairman of the school board; and served on the scholarship committee at Winnacunnet High School. He was a charter member of the North Hampton Youth Association and a Little League baseball coach. Mr. Miller was a life member of the E.A. Twombly Disabled American Veterans Post in Newburyport, Mass.; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8942 of Rye; a member of the Hampton's American Legion Post No. 35. He was a Mason and was a member of Gideon Lodge No. 84 of Kingston and was affiliated with St. James Lodge No. 102 F. & A.M. of Hampton and a member of the Kittery Point Yacht Club. He is survived by his wife, Betsey McClennen Miller of North Hampton; two sons, Steven Miller and Glenn Miller, both of North Hampton; one daughter, Wendy Miller Hume of North Hampton; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia (McCarthy) Miller, who died in 1985; and two brothers, Ernest Miller and Donald Miller. Calling hours will be held Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Paquet Sr. RAYMOND -- Alphonse E. Paquet Sr., 67, died Friday, July 19, 2002, in Exeter Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Quebec, Canada, the son of the late Jules and Dora (Genest) Paquet and resided at Pine Acres Campground, Raymond, in the summer and wintered in Oldsmar, Fla. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was a member of the National Guard. Mr. Paquet was the maintenance manager at Pine Acres Campground for 32 years. He had previously been the general manager and baker at Neisen Bakery and was a shipping clerk at Ben Franklin's in Raymond for two years. He was an avid camper and fisherman and loved to do carpentry work. He is survived by his wife, Denise (O'Leary) Paquet; three daughters, Sharon Paquet of Clearwater, Fla., Cheryl Brown of Dunbarton and Amanda O'Leary of Clearwater; three sons, Anthony Paquet of Suncook, Alphonse Paquet Jr. of Goffstown and Scott Paquet of Clearwater; six grandchildren; six brothers; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday in St. Joseph Church, Epping. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Church, Route 27, Epping, NH 03042. Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Grace E. Winchester STRATHAM -- Grace E. (Furbush) Winchester, 84, died Monday, July 22, 2002, at her home. She was born in Gloucester, Mass., the daughter of the late Gordon and Madeline (Palfray) Furbush and had resided in Beverly, Mass., for most of her life. Mrs. Winchester was a secretary at Beverly Hospital. She was a member of the Beverly Women's Bowling League. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Eichler of Stratham and Lynne Campfield of Atkinson; four grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Furbush of Wenham, Mass., and George Furbush of Beverly. She was predeceased by one sister, Edith Patch. Memorial services were held Thursday in the Lee, Moody & Russell Funeral Home, Beverly.
