Bonin ATKINSON -- Roger P. Bonin, 59, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Haverhill, Mass., and had resided in Atkinson since 2001. He was a 1961 graduate of Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic High School and a 1963 graduate of Northern Essex Community College. He served with the 101st Engineers of the Army National Guard from 1964 until 1970. Mr. Bonin was a standards engineer for Lucent Technologies retiring in 2000 after 37 years of service. He as an emergency medical technician for the former Shanahan Ambulance Service of Haverhill for 17 years. He was a member of Holy Angels Parish, Plaistow, and the Crystal Springs Golf Cub of Haverhill. He was a former member of St. John the Baptist Parish of Haverhill and a former member of the board of directors of the Bradford Swim Club. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Frances (Moriarty) Bonin; two sons, Jeffrey T. Bonin and his wife Elizabeth of Plainville, Mass., and Gregory J. Bonin of Methuen, Mass.; one daughter and her husband, Pamela J. and Peter Richardson of Falmouth, Mass.; two grandchildren; his mother, Yvonne (Bouchard) Bonin of Plaistow; four brothers, Leonard Bonin of Atkinson, David Bonin of Lawrence, Peter Bonin of Hampstead and Gerard Bonin of Haverhill; one sister, Ann-Marie McEwen of Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday in Holy Angels Church, Plaistow. Burial was in Atkinson Cemetery. Ida Brusso RAYMOND -- Ida "Nana" Brusso, 82, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, in Exeter Hospital. She was born June 21, 1920, in Fremont, the daughter of the late Ralph and Cora (Trickey) Rogers and was a lifelong resident of Raymond. Mrs. Brusso enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader and card player. The widow of Charles Brusso, who died in 1989, she is survived by three daughters, Yvonne Griffin of Portsmouth, Becky Harney and her husband Peter, and Heidi Brusso, all of Raymond; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Triff and Priscilla Brusso of North Smithfield, R.I., Timothy and Cheryl Brusso of Raymond and Bradley Brusso of Chicago; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Rowena LeClair of Fremont; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Deborah Brusso; one grandson, Max; one sister, Alice Waldron; and one brother, Clarence Rogers. There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Old Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, with the Rev. Mike Chouinard officiating. Kathleen J. Noyes HAVERHILL, Mass. -- Kathleen J. (Zangari) Noyes, 57, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Haverhill and was a 1963 graduate of Haverhill High School where she was a member of the Teachers of Tomorrow. She received her degree in education from Lowell State College in 1967 and her master's degree from Fitchburg State College. Mrs. Noyes was a teacher in the Haverhill school system from 1967 until her retirement this year. She was a mathematics teacher for most of her tenure at Hunking School in Bradford, Mass. She served as the teacher advisor to the Academic Bowl Team and helped in the planning of the 8th grade Washington trip for many years. She served as the assistant principal at Bartlett, Moody and Pentucket Lake schools, and had served as acting principal at Pentucket Lake School. She was named Haverhill's Teacher of the Year in 1992. She was a communicant of All Saints Church; a former member of St. Rita's Parish; a member of the Massachusetts Teacher's Association; and the Haverhill Education Association. Mrs. Noyes was an organizer and teacher of several math workshops for Haverhill teachers and was active as a bingo worker at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence, Mass. She is survived by her husband, Charles F. Noyes; one daughter Christine Gagne of Methuen, Mass.; her mother, Lena (St. Laurent) Zangari of Haverhill; one granddaughter; three brothers, Herbert R. Zangari Jr. of Boston, Ronald L. Zangari and Michael R. Zangari, both of Haverhill; eight sisters, Elizabeth Burns of Cape Coral, Fla., Maryanne Gucciardi of Burlington, Vt., Constance David of Cape Coral, Dolores Pacione of Plaistow, Lorraine Bilodeau, Patricia O'Connell, Carole Zangari and Cynthia Zangari, all of Haverhill; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Roberts KENSINGTON -- Edgar A. Roberts, 74, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at Exeter Healthcare after a lengthy illness. He was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Plaistow, the son of the late Benjamin A. and Mary (Brewer) Roberts. He had resided in Amesbury, Mass., before moving to Kensington 46 years ago. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Roberts was employed by Nichol's Poultry Farm, Kingston, from 1947 until 1958 and was a custodian at Phillips Exeter Academy for 10 years. He was a member of Warren Masonic Lodge, Amesbury. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lois (Shaw) Roberts of Exeter; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, at 2 p.m. in High Street Cemetery, Hampton. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Home, Exeter. Helen D. Ryan KINGSTON -- Helen D. Ryan, 89, formerly of Kingston Pines, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood. She was born April 2, 1913, in Milford, the daughter of the late John and Ali Harris. She had resided in Gloucester, Mass., before moving to Kingston in 1974. Mrs. Ryan enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid bingo player and enjoyed walking four to five miles a day until the age of 86. The widow of Paul D. Ryan, who died in 1986, she is survived by one son and his wife, Robert and Pat Ryan of Gloucester; one daughter and her husband, Paula and Richard Nichols of Hampton; four granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. She was predeceased by one grandson, Paul R. Nichols, who died in 1996. Private services were held Thursday.
