Biddie McDade NOTTINGHAM -- Biddie "Bea" Dennis McDade, 71, of Beachhead Road, died Monday, Aug. 12, 2002, at her home. She was born Nov. 23, 1930, in Iowa Park, Texas, the daughter of the late James W. and Fannie P. (Smith) Ashmon. She had resided in San Pedro and Torrance, Calif., for many years before moving to Nottingham 23 years ago. She was a graduate of Norbonne (Calif.) High School and received her associate's degree from Harbor City Junior College in California. Mrs. McDade was a civil service employee for 35 years. She began her career at the Long Beach, Calif., Naval Shipyard, and then was employed at the Naval Annex in Torrance. She retired as a transportation specialist from the Government Center in Boston. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Lomita, Calif., where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Charles McDade; three sons, Larry E. Dennis and Timothy W. Dennis, both of Nottingham, and David L. Dennis of Seabrook, Texas; two daughters, Sharon L. Schreve of Baton Rouge, La., and Debbi M. Stilkey of Peabody, Mass.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Della Garrett of Garden Grove, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert E. Dennis, who died in 1966; and two sisters, Fannie Marie Offitt and Lauretta Dickey. A prayer service was held Wednesday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Services and burial will be held in California. Vlasich, 39, of 39 Haverhill Road, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, after a sudden illness. He was born Feb. 5, 1963, in Brownsville, Pa., the son of Paul J. and Carol A. (Lowery) Vlasich Sr. of Rowes Run, Pa. He was a graduate of Exeter High School and received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire. Mr. Vlasich was a mechanical engineer in the automotive tooling division of Freudenberg of Manchester for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was head of the recreation department in East Kingston where he coached soccer, baseball and basketball. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 16 years, Lisa M. (Kenney) Vlasich; three sons, Samuel G. Vlasich, Joshua A. Vlasich and Mathew D. Vlasich, all of East Kingston; and two brothers, Paul J. Vlasich Jr. of Strafford and Robert S. Vlasich of Belmont, N.C. Funeral services were held Tuesday in First Congregational Church, Kingston. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, East Kingston. Memorial donations may be made to the Vlasich Family Fund, c/o Edward Jones Investment, P.O. 5058, Portsmouth, NH 03802-5058.
