Chase DUNEDIN, Fla. -- Daniel E. Chase, 76, of 1500 County Road, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, in Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia. He was born May 27, 1926, in Concord, the son of the late Edward M. and Caroline (Piper) Chase. He was a longtime resident of Kingston before retiring to Dunedin and was a summer resident of Oak Hill Camp Ground in Meredith since 1988. He was a graduate of Concord High School and the University of New Hampshire. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Chase was employed with the engineering division of the State of New Hampshire Highway Department for a number of years. He had also worked for R.G. Watkins Construction and Midway Excavators. After moving to Florida he was employed by the Pinellas County Water Department. He was a member of Eureka Lodge No. 70, F&AM of Concord; Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Concord and the Valley of Nashua; and Bektash Temple of Concord. He was active with Kingston Boy Scout Troop No. 9, serving as a scout master and was a founder and past president of the Southern N.H. Trailblazers Snowmobile Club of Kingston. He was an avid golfer and a member of Oak Hill Golf Course, Meredith. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia A. (Wright) Chase of Dunedin; two sons, Daniel E. Chase Jr. of Alton and David B. Chase of Meredith; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth C. Engle and Barbara J. Farnham. Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Concord, with the Rev. Cynthia T. Morse, interim pastor of First Congregational Church of Meredith, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations maybe made to the Boston Shriners Hospital, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114. Arrangements are by the Dewhirst Funeral Home, Laconia. Priscilla A. Wright RAYMOND -- Priscilla A. (Dodge) (Botti) "Boots" Wright, 67, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at her daughter's home in Raymond after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born April 20, 1935, in Tyngsboro, Mass., the daughter of the late Elmer and Helga (Johnson) Dodge. She had resided in southern New Hampshire for several years coming from Lowell and Lawrence, Mass. Mrs. Wright was a quality controller in the medical products field for many years. She was active with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 1513, Watertown, Mass. and was a volunteer for charitable and fund raising functions in her community. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. The widow of Edward F. Wright Jr., she is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Kim and Jerry Donovan of Merrimac, Mass., Karen and Ronald Johnson of Raymond and Joy and Uffe Mikkelsen of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor Kelly of Pepperell, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Evelyn Labell, Dorothy Johnson and Patricia Botti; and three brothers Sonny Dodge, Wesley Dodge and Kenneth Dodge. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday in St. Joseph Church, Salem. Burial was in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery, Tyngsboro. Arrangements were by the Goundrey Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Salem.
