Belmonte KINGSTON -- Jerry W. Belmonte, 87, of Scotland Road, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, in Exeter Hospital after a brief illness. He was born April 18, 1915, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of the late Antonio and Angelina (Capone) Belmonte. He was a longtime resident of Exeter, had resided in Northwood for six years and in Kingston for 18 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the marching band while in the service. Mr. Belmonte opened a barber shop on Water Street in Exeter in 1947, and since his retirement, he continued to work part-time at two Exeter shops until two weeks ago. He was a communicant of Mary Mother of the Church, Newton, and was a member of the church choir. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara (Tuck) Belmonte of Kingston; two sons, Richard "Rick" Belmonte of Deerfield and Charles Belmonte of Brentwood; two stepdaughters, Cecily McNair of Epsom and Rosemary Milewski of Martha's Vineyard, Mass.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena Lannon of Exeter; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday in St. Michael Church, Exeter. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Richard Cull HAMPTON -- Richard Cull, 69, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at his home after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born Oct. 8, 1932, in Mechanicville, N.Y., the son of the late Santo and Assunta (Iavazzo) Cuiulla. He had resided in Lynnfield, Mass., before moving to Hampton. He was a graduate of Fort Schuyler Maritime College with a degree in engineering, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Cull was an executive at General Electric Co., retiring after 40 years of service. He was an avid skier and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by four children, Carlton R. Cull of Scottsdale, Ariz., Brian D. Cull and Diane M. Wolenski, both of Hampstead, and Jeffrey S. Cull of Plymouth, Mich.; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy McGuire of Mechanicville and Agnes Storey of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. and his companion, Sheila M. Doyle of San Clemente, Calif. He was predeceased by one brother, Carlton Ciulla. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Hampton. Dillavou MANCHESTER -- Irene M. Dillavou, 81, died Aug. 31, 2002, at Hanover Hills. She was born June 21, 1921, in Holyoke, Mass., the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Czarnecka) Szalda and was a longtime resident of Raymond before moving to Manchester nine years ago. Mrs. Dillavou was as a manager at Camp Se-Se-Ma-Ca, a girl's camp in Raymond. She had previously been a fashion model in the Boston area. She enjoyed traveling. The widow of James Dillavou, who died in 1988, she is survived by close friends. Memorial services will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Route 27, Epping. Pinder, 20, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, in Decatur, Ala. He was born in Exeter and attended Atkinson Academy and Timberlane Regional High School in Plaistow. Mr. Pinder was a painting contractor. He is survived by his mother, Pamela Pinder of West Palm Beach, Fla.; his father, John Cepeda of Lawrence, Mass.; sisters and brothers, Jade Pinder of West Palm Beach, Jana Cepeda, Tisa Cepeda and John Cepeda, all of Haverhill, Mass., Melissa Morton, Jason Morton, Melinna Cepeda, Maria Cepeda and Sara Cepeda, all of Lawrence; his maternal grandparents, Richard E. and Evelyn (Perkins) Goldbaum of Atkinson, with whom he made his home, and William Pinder of Boca Raton, Fla.; his maternal great-grandmother, Affie Perkins of Hollis, Maine; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial services were held Sept. 3 in Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow. Welch Jr., 61, of Main Street, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, in Elliott Hospital, Manchester. He was born in Haverhill, Mass., and attended St. Joseph Grammar School and the former Haverhill Trade School. Mr. Welch owned and operated the former Welch Paving Co. of Haverhill. He had previously worked at Don's Paving in Haverhill, as the foreman of the print room at Vernon Plastics of Haverhill, at Don's Paving in Haverhill and was a mechanized farmer. He was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Haverhill. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Frances (Dodier) Welch; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Raymond Tibbetts of Fremont, Gerard and Kelly Tibbetts of Nottingham, William Welch of Port Charlotte, Fla., Richard P. and Laurie Welch III of Raymond and Suzanne Welch of Northwood; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Patricia and Carl Monroe of Raymond, Linda and Jay Bourque of Fremont, Suzanne Kumis of Raymond and Sandra and Henry Farrin Jr. of Epsom; his mother, Teresa (Vallieres) Welch of Haverhill; four sisters, Marjorie Talarico of Haverhill, Suzanne McKenzie of Merrimac, Mass., Jacquelyn Sovas of Maine and Jeannie Welch of Haverhill; three nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Arrangements were by the Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, Haverhill.
