Camire Sr. EXETER - Joseph E. Camire Sr., 88, of Arbor Street, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Exeter Healthcare after a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Exeter, the son of the late Louis and Vitaline Camire. He was a lifelong resident of Exeter. Mr. Camire was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for many years. He was a communicant of St. Michael Church, Exeter, where he served as an usher at the 9 a.m. Mass for many years. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Zita L. (Wilbur) Camire of Exeter; four sons, John Camire and Lawrence Camire, both of Exeter, Joseph Camire Jr. of Raymond and Richard Curry of Raynham, Mass.; seven daughters, Stephanie Camire of Exeter, Nancy Brunet of South Hampton, Eleanor Kimball of Falmouth, Maine, Joanne Archer of Epping, Ruth Welch of Alfred, Maine, Irene Cote of Exeter, and Judy Richards of Middleton ; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Yvonne Grenier of Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Exeter. Burial will follow in Exeter Cemetery. Flowers are acceptable, or memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter.
