JANICE LANPHER Janice Y. (Rabideau) Lanpher of Bryan, Texas, died on August 16, 2003 at her home, of a sudden illness. She was born in Springfield, Vt. on January 3, 1938, the daughter of the late Ernest Omer Rabideau and Merilda (Duquette) Rabideau of Rochester, N.H. She was a graduate of Stratford High School in 1955. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gary D. Lanpher Sr., originally from Island Pond and presently of Bryan, Texas; a son and two daughters, Gary D. Lanpher Jr. of Petersham, Mass., Kelly Cellana of Ashburnham, Mass., and Jamie Boyd of College Station, Texas; five sisters and four brothers, Elaine Knox of Worcester, Mass., Marion Brooks, Ronald Rabideau and Jane Au Coin all of Columbia, N.H., Robert Rabideau of Somersworth, N.H., Glenn Rabideau of No. Berwick, Maine, Ruth Rabideau of New Britain, Conn., Louise Michaud of Rowley, Mass. and Alan Rabideau of Farmington, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was held at St. Josephıs Church in Bryan, Texas on August 20. A graveside service is planned for October 11, 2003 in Island Pond, Vt. Time and place to be determined. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PHYLLIS HOYT Phyllis Mae Hoyt, 72, of Concord, N.H. and Canaan, Vt., died on Friday, August 22, 2003 at Concord Hospital. She was born in South Whitehall Township, Pa., the adopted daughter of Nevin and Edna (Grammes) Ely, and was a graduate of Lehigh Valley High School in Allentown, Pa. She worked at United Life Insurance Co., and then in the business office at St. Paul's School in Concord from 1967 until her retirement in 1992. She also operated a ceramics business out of her home as a hobby. She was an avid snowmobiler, traveling around northern New England and Canada during the winter, and she enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David C. Hoyt Sr. of Concord; son, David C. Hoyt Jr., of New Hampton; four daughters, Margaret Flint of Concord, Gail Gordon of Bow, Liane Hoyt of Canterbury and Rita Saltmarsh of Loudon; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Lou Davis of Glen Gardner, N.J., Jane Merkle of Allentown, Pa., Gladys Santee of Orwigsburg, Pa. and Nancy Erdman of Allentown; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Gehringer and Clinton Snyder. Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning, August 26 at the Bennett Funeral Home in Concord. Burial followed at New Cemetery in Henniker.
