Voishnis ATKINSON - Alvina B. (Kane) Voishnis, 74, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, in Merrimack Valley Hospital. She was born in Lawrence, Mass., and attended schools in Cincinnati, where she lived for several years. She was a graduate of Medford (Mass.) High School. Mrs. Voishnis was a homemaker and had previously been a secretary and typist for local electronics companies. She was a communicant of Holy Angles Church, Plaistow. She is survived by her husband George J. Voishnis Sr.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jeffrey M. and Cynthia Voishnis of Atkinson, George J. Voishnis Jr. of Forked River, N.J., and Mark A. and Karen Voishnis of Sanford, Maine; one daughter and her husband, Sharon Voishnis and Dennis Sabatino of Derry; six grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Kane of Medford; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, Plaistow. Spring burial will be in Atkinson Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St., Manchester, NH 03101. Judy A. Norton HAVERHILL, Mass. - Judith A. (Comeau) Norton, 47, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at the New England Medical Center, Boston, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Haverhill, and attended St. Joseph Grammar School and was a 1973 graduate of Haverhill High School. Mrs. Norton was a bookkeeper for John A. Rosatone & Co. for 25 years. She was a member of All Saints Parish and of the Haverhill Lodge of Elks No. 165. She was a former member of St. Joseph Parish. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Harry A. Norton; one son, Shawn M. Norton and his companion, Nicole Catalli, of Haverhill; one daughter, Jessica L. Norton and her companion, Patrick West, of Haverhill; three sisters, Donna Tilton of Plaistow, Audrey Moore of Haverhill and Mary Anne Locasio of Epping; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Radigan KINGSTON - Francis J. Radigan, 63, of North Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at the Dover Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 10, 1939, in Chelsea, Mass., the son of Francis and Mary (Brosseau) Radigan Sr. He was raised in Salem and had resided in Kingston for 35 years. Mr. Radigan was a forklift operator at the Bailey Corp., Seabrook, for 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary (Littlewood) Radigan of Kingston; two sons and their wives, Frank and Debra Radigan of Raymond, and Bill and Tina Radigan of Kingston; one daughter, Donna Radigan of Manchester; three grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Collins of Andover, Mass., and Roland Collins of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 1501 North West 9th Ave., Miami, FL 33136. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. John W. Swanton ATKINSON - John William Swanton, 64, died while vacationing with his family in Ft. Myers, Fla. He was born in Portsmouth, the son of Robley and Natalie Swanton. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mame Swanton; three daughters, Tressa Swanton of Marathon, Fla., Renee Swanton of Ft. Myers and Lori Ford of Weare; three sons, David Swanton of East Hampstead, Jeff Martel of Concord and Dan Martel of California; four grandchildren; one brother, Dick Swanton of East Kingston; and one sister, Betty Lord of Kingston. Cremation arrangements were by Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Judith A. Oljey KINGSTON - Judith Ann Oljey died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in the Veteran’s Administration Hospital, Manchester, following a year-long illness. She was born in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of Edward J. and Rose Marie (Hines) Oljey. She came to Kingston in August 2002. She was a graduate of Saugus (Mass.) High School and received her nursing degree from Salem Hospital School of Nursing. She received her bachelor of science, summa cum laude, from the University of San Francisco in 1979. She was conferred the degree of juris doctor cum laude in May of 1983, being honored by Law Review and was admitted to the state Bar of California in December 1983. She was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, Calif., attaining the rank of Lieutenant JG. Following her discharge, she was an intensive and cardiac care nurse at Presbyterian Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. With concerns regarding the health-care situation and medical-legal implications concerning patient rights, she made the decision to enroll in law school. Ms. Oljey practiced law in Los Angeles, working in the Appellate Court as a civil and criminal defense attorney. She is survived by three brothers and their wives, Edward and Anita Oljey of Virginia, Richard and Judith E. Oljey of Alabama, and John and Judith A. Oljey of Kingston, with whom she made her home; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday in St. Margaret Church, Saugus. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
