Bouchard RAYMOND - Joseph H. "Joe" Bouchard, 80, of Melody Lane, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, in Exeter Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Brentwood, the son of the late Alphonse and Elizabeth (Hoyt) Bouchard. He was raised in Brentwood and had resided in Raymond for more than 50 years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving as an airplane mechanic. Mr. Bouchard was retired from Currier’s in Raymond. He was a member of the Maple Wheadon Post No. 4479, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Raymond, and enjoyed bowling and playing cards. The widow of Lulu (McFarland) Bouchard, he is survived by four daughters, Judy Sullivan, Jacqueline Lang, Jane Barnes and Janet Bouchard, all of Raymond; three sons, Jerry Bouchard of Milton and James Bouchard and John Bouchard, both of Raymond; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Roseanna Porter of Fremont, and Pearl Purington, Ruth Chase and Shirley Parmenter, all of Raymond; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Jeffrey Bouchard; a baby girl; one sister, Dorothy Purington; and one brother, Paul Bouchard. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Raymond Methodist Church with the Rev. Kwan Lee officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Military Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. Garabedian ATKINSON - Mary E. (Larrabee) Garabedian, 82, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Merrimack Valley Hospital. She was born in Lewiston, Maine, and was raised in Haverhill, Mass. She was a longtime resident of Salem, and had lived in Atkinson since 1986. Mrs. Garabedian was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and volunteer work. She attended Atkinson Congregational Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, George H. Garabedian; one son, Randy N. Garabedian of Atkinson; two daughters and their husbands, Kathie and Arthur Brousseau of Haverhill and Pattie Garabedian-Tanner and Michael Tanner of Pleasanton, Calif.; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, A. Paul Adams of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews. Private calling hours and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, Plaistow. Jane M. LaVigueur KINGSTON - Jane M. (Alves) LaVigueur, 58, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, in Exeter Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Boston and was raised in Dorchester, Mass. She was a longtime resident of Winthrop, Mass., before moving to Kingston in 1983. She was a 1962 graduate of Msg. Ryan Memorial High School. Mrs. LaVigueur was employed in the customer service department at Sears, Roebuck and Co. She had previously been a bookkeeper in the estate department of the Ropes and Gray Law Firm in Boston, in the bakery of Shop ‘N Save in Raymond and the Market Basket in Plaistow. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of the Church, Newton. She is survived by her husband, Paul. F. LaVigueur, one son, Jon-Paul LaVigueur of Kingston; one sister, Cathy Allin of Hawthorne, Fla.; four brothers, Virgil Alves of Naples, Fla., Larry Alves of Spring Hill, Fla.; Ed Alves of Sandwich, Mass., and James Alves of Marshfield, Mass.; and several, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday in Mary, Mother of the Church, Newton. Spring burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston. Arrangements were by Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow. Florence E. Nelson VERNON, Vt. - Florence E. (Mundy) Nelson, 81, of 63 Stebbins Road, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at her home. She was born March 26, 1921, in New Brunswick, N.J., the daughter of George W. and Eliza (Murdoch) Mundy. She was educated in Metuchen, N.J., schools. Mrs. Nelson worked for the Amesbury, Mass., School Department and in the admissions department of the Northfield Mt. Hermon School, Northfield, Mass. While her husband served in several churches in the United States, she volunteered in the area hospitals, including Amesbury Hospital, Laughlin Memorial Hospital, Greeneville, Tenn., and Central Vermont Hospital in Barre, Vt., where she also volunteered at the Vermont Food Bank. She enjoyed cooking and embroidering. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, the Rev. Philip Nelson; one son and his wife, Philip A. and Marilyn Nelson of Northfield, Vt.; two daughters and their husbands, Doris and Herbert Noyes of Kingston and Janet and Mark Stephens of Ambler, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and one nephew. Memorial services will be held in Trinitarian Congregational Church, Northfield, Mass., at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Kidder Funeral Home, Northfield, Mass. Marcia C. Sanborn DANVILLE - Marcia C. Sanborn, 91, of Beach Plain Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, in Exeter Hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1911, in Buckfield, Maine, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Marion (Clark) Conant. She was raised in Maine and Kingston, and had resided in North Danville for 69 years. She was a 1931 graduate of Sanborn Seminary. Mrs. Sanborn was employed by Keezar Manufacturing, Plaistow, retiring in 1968. She had previously worked at F.W. Woolworth in Exeter for several years. She enjoyed crocheting. The widow of Melton R. Sanborn, who died in 1989, she is survived by four daughters, Jean Kerr of Yuma, Ariz., Barbara S. Byrne of North Danville, Sylvia Milbury of New River, Ariz., and Dotty S. Emilio of East Kingston; one son, Butch Sanborn of Raymond; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister-in-law, Christine Moore of Kingston; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Muriel Sanborn. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. Deborah Stecher ELLSWORTH, Maine - Deborah (Corliss) Stecher, 46, formerly of Kingston, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at her home. She was born March 9, 1956, in Chelsea, Mass., the daughter of James and Norma (Ruiter) Corliss of Newburg, Maine. Due to her husband’s military career, she had resided in many areas of the country including Michigan and Kingston. Mrs. Stecher was an active school volunteer and substitute secretary at Ellsworth High School and was president of the Ellsworth Music Boosters. She served as a Cub Scout troop leader, Sunday-school teacher and school volunteer in the library and computer lab. She was an officer in the Sanborn Middle School Boosters, worked at the Bakie School and also volunteered her time and talents to both schools, including her quilting skills. At school music performances, she fashioned costumes for school drama productions. She enjoyed crafts and sewing, making personalized gifts for family and friends. Her talent in quilting won her "Best in Show" award at a craft fair at Exmouth, Australia in 1989. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Carl Stecher; two sons, Carl W. "Will" Stecher IV and Shane A. Stecher, all of Ellsworth; one sister, Marcie Gauvin of Fletcher, N.C.; one brother, Brian Corliss of Winterport; her parents-in-law, Carl and Ruth Stecher of Hampden; 10 nephews and four nieces; one aunt, Martha Gonyo of Milton, Vt.; and one uncle, Bobby Ruiter of Fletcher, Vt.
