Cady Sr. DADE CITY, Fla. - Stuart Wayne Cady Sr., 77, died Dec. 29, 2002. He was born in Glover, Vt., the son of Renphrew and Ava Marie (Bean) Cady, and had resided in Raymond and Concord. For the past several years he had been a seasonal resident of Dade City and Alfred, Maine. Mr. Cady was a retired professor and had taught electrical engineering and computer science at the New Hampshire Technical Institute of Concord, and Franklin Pierce College. After retirement, he and his wife accomplished their long time dream of building a log home in Maine. He was a member of the Estes Lake Association in Alfred; a member of the Board of Governors of the Maine Lakes Association; the Bradford UCC Church in Zephyrhills, Fla., and he had served as a deacon while attending churches in Concord and Alfred. He was a past master and 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge 99 of Raymond; a member of the Northeast Search and Rescue Team as well as a member of the Board of Governors of the Maine Association of Search and Rescue. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Cady; three daughters, Pamela Spain of Concord, Deborah Pore of Springvale, Maine, and Melissa Manseau of Scarborough, Maine; one son, Stuart Wayne Cady, Jr. of Lyman, Maine; 10 grandchildren, several sisters and brothers, including Chester Cady of Deerfield; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. in the First Congregational Church in Raymond, with the Reverend Neil Iverson officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. Brewitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Timothy D. Eichler EXETER - Timothy Dale Eichler, 48, of Alumni Drive, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Exeter Healthcare following a lengthy illness with Lou Gherig’s disease. He was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Dale A. and Doris J. (Eslinger) Eichler and had resided in Raymond for many years before coming to Exeter two years ago. He was a 1973 graduate of Troy High School, where he was the drum major in his junior and senior years. He was in several high school plays and participated in Sing Out Troy for three years. He attended Berklee College of Music in Boston for one year and played in the Private Lightning Band in Boston. Mr. Eichler was the manager at Technical Audio Lighting for New England Audio Technicians. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Benjamin D. Eichler of Livermore, Calif.; two sisters, Vicki Eichler of Raymond and Linda Eichler of Arlington, Mass.; one brother, Mark Eichler of Piqua, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Local arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Edith M. Ellis RAYMOND - Edith M. Ellis, 54, of Chester Road, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at her home after a sudden illness. She was born March 14, 1949, in Ipswich, Mass., the daughter of the late George H. and Dorothy A. (Burgess) Murrey. She was raised in Georgetown, Mass., and had resided in Haverhill, Mass., and Kingston, before moving to Raymond 12 years ago. She was educated in Georgetown schools. Mrs. Ellis was a CNA at the Wellstone House in Raymond and the Foxden Inn in Sandown. She had previously been employed at Dunkin Donuts in Epping. She attended the First Baptist Church, Georgetown. She enjoyed going on the computer on Pogo.com, animals and bowling at Striker’s East in Raymond. She is survived by one daughter, Tawnya L. Pitman of Rochester; two sons, Gregory S. Ellis and James T. Ellis, both of Spokane, Wash.; seven grandchildren; one brother, John R. Murrey of Atkinson; four sisters, Ellen Marcus of Haverhill, Jeannette Laing of Georgetown, Donna Good of Haverhill and Dorothy Wright of Kingston; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Mary Morse. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Ralph A. Enos ATKINSON - Ralph A. Enos, 74, died April 14, 2003, at Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital, Salem. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and had resided in Atkinson since 1959. He was a graduate of Bronx High School of Science and received his engineering degree from New York University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Enos was employed by AT&T Technologies of North Andover, Mass., retiring in 1989 as a senior quality assurance engineer. He was a member of the American Legion of Concord and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Mr. Enos was a coach for the Timberlane Youth Basketball League and a former president of the Timberlane Boosters Club and the Atkinson Little League. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Theresa (Monck) Enos; two sons and their wives, Kenneth R. and Dawn Enos of Merrick, N.Y., and Keith G. and Judy Enos of Plaistow; one daughter and her husband, Debora and Ronald Janowicz of Plaistow; six grandchildren; and one niece and nephew. An hour of visitation will be held Saturday, May 10, from noon until 1 p.m. at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow. Irene Griffin BRENTWOOD - Irene Griffin, 76, died April 7, 2003, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 24, 1926, in Berlin, the daughter of Edward and Antoinette (Gregoire) L’Heureux. She was raised in Lancaster and resided there until the early 1970s when she moved to Manchester, and had resided at Peabody Place in Derry. Mrs. Griffin worked at Cabletron for many years until her retirement. She had previously been employed by the Kent Nursing Home, now Holton Point in Lancaster. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Manchester, and was active in many church organizations. She was an avid bingo player. She is survived by one son, Clifford Griffin of Raymond; two daughters, Joanne Picard of Clearwater, Fla., and Elaine Griffin of Colebrook; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman L’Heureux of Greenville; and one sister, Lorraine Hodgdon of Lebanon. Graveside services will be held May 17 at noon in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster, with the Rev. Raymond Ball, pastor of All Saints Church, Lancaster, officiating. Arrangements are by the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. Dwight L. Killam Jr. KINGSTON - Dwight L. Killam Jr., 73, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Hannah Duston Nursing Home, Haverhill, Mass., after a lengthy illness. He was born Sept. 13, 1929, in Salem, Mass., the son of Dwight L. and Dorothy D. (Perley) Killam Sr. He was raised in Boxford, Mass., and had resided in Kingston for most of his life. He was a graduate of Sanborn Seminary, Kingston and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving from 1951 until 1954, and served with the Reserves from 1955 until 1959, retiring as a staff sergeant. Mr. Killam was director of computer services at Northern Essex Community College, Haverhill. He was an active member of the Kingston Lions Club for 42 years and held every major club office in including four terms as president. He was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 1993. He served as a Kingston selectman and volunteer fireman for many years and was instrumental in forming the fire department rescue league. He was active in the Kingston Santa Claus Christmas Parade for many years. He was involved with sled dog racing and established a race in Kingston which benefited the Lions Club. He was a former president of the Kingston PTA . He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia A. (Patten) Killam of Kingston; one daughter, Cynthia M. Killam-Burke of Kingston; one son, Harold D. Killam of Kingston; and four grandchildren. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.
