Shirley Ann Cail EXETER - Shirley Ann Cail, 66, of Lee’s Mobile Home Park No. 11, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at her home after a sudden illness. She was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Exeter, the daughter of Joseph and Etta (McInnis) St. Amour and was a lifelong Exeter resident. She attended Robinson Female Seminary and later entered the Exeter School of Practical Nursing and was licensed as a practicing nurse in 1965. Mrs. Cail provided care and comfort to the Seacoast’s elderly, serving for more than 30 years as a practicing nurse at several area nursing homes including Rockingham County Nursing Home, Exeter Healthcare, Riverwoods, and most recently, the Eventide Home. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, movies and cooking for her family. She was a lung cancer survivor. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Exeter. She is survived by three sons, Joseph J. Cail of Raymond, David R. Cail of Newfields and Paul A. Cail of North Conway; two daughters, Kim E. Cail of Newfields and Diann M. Chaffin of Stratham; 10 grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters. Memorial services will be held at Friday at 11 a.m. in the United Methodist Church in Exeter. Memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Arthur R. Pool RAYMOND - Arthur R. "Dutchie" Pool, 76, of 72 Main St., died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at his home. He was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Frank H. and Grace M. (Lucien) Pool. He moved to Newton in 1960 and resided in Kingston for many years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Pool owned and operated Art Pool Construction Co. for many years. He was a member of Gideon Lodge No. 84, F. & A.M. of Kingston and enjoyed working on and restoring old tractors and bulldozers. He is survived by his wife, Joanne (O’Brien) Pool of Raymond; one son, Charles R. Pool of Florida; two daughters, Cynthia A. Adams and her husband Leon of Kingston and Kathy J. Heath of Maine; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one stepson, Robert M. O’Brien of Maine; four stepdaughters, Joan J. McCarthy of Exeter, Carolyn A. Anderson of Raymond, Hope Tuttle of Nottingham, and Kolleen Richards of Vermont. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joan D. (Blatchford) Pool. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
