Collins FREMONT - Arlo E. Collins, 70, of Main Street, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, where he had resided for the past two years. He was born June 24, 1932, in Portsmouth, the son of the late Clifford and Margaret (Brackett) Collins. He was raised in New Castle and Greenland, and had resided in Fremont for 42 years. He attended Greenland Elementary School, was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and received his degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University and was a 1954 graduate of Wentworth University which led him to receive his AMP License. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Collins taught drafting in Pawtucket, Mass., and Salem. He enjoyed woodworking, boat building and gardening. He is survived by three sons, Cyle Collins of Alfred, Maine, Kurt Collins of Washington, Calif., and Christopher Collins of Raymond; three daughters, Kimberly Strandell of Raymond, Cathy Golaszewski of Ottawa, Ill., and Karen Hanides of Hampstead; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. There are no calling hours. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Greenland Community Church with the Rev. Thomas Barker officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Greenland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rockingham Nutrition Meals on Wheels Program, 111 North Road, Brentwood, NH 03833. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Epping. Jamyson M. Jordan SANDOWN - "Our Angel Finally Got His Wings." Jamyson M. Jordan, 2, of Main Street, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, in Parkland Medical Center, Derry. He was born July 6, 2000, the son of Arthur J. Jordan Jr., and Deborah "Dee" (Patey) Jordan of Sandown. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Sally Jordan of Sandown; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Carol Patey of Raymond; his paternal grandfather, Arthur J. Jordan Sr. of Somerville, Mass.; his great-grandfather, Richard Lahr of Raymond; his great-grandmother, Ruth Jordan of Haverhill, Mass.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Burial was in Old Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. A memorial fund will be established for Jamyson at a later date. Beverly W. Whiteneck Jr. HAMPSTEAD - Beverly W. "Bev" Whiteneck Jr., 77, of Emerson Village, died Friday, May 30, 2003, in Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, Mass. He was born in Methuen, Mass., moving to Hampstead as a child. He was a 1943 graduate of Hampstead High School and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II serving as a flight officer and navigator. Mr. Whiteneck was the foreman at Turner’s Dairy in Salem, retiring in 1987. He was previously the ice cream maker at the former Wason-MacDonald Co. of Haverhill. He was a member of Atkinson Congregational Church and a former Sunday school teacher. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Georgette (White) Whiteneck; two daughters, Bonnie Dery and her husband Robert of Haverhill, and Kathleen Kennett of San Francisco; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Webster of Manchester and Marilyn Merrick of Atkinson; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Tuesday in West Hampstead Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Atkinson Congregational Church, 101 Main St., Atkinson, NH 03811. Arrangements were by the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow.
