Brooks KINGSTON - Ronald L. Brooks, 69, of Babscott Lane, died Friday, July 11, 2003, in Exeter Hospital, after a sudden illness. He was born March 29, 1934, in Swanton, Vt., the son of the late Maurice L. and Marion M. (St. Pierre) Brooks and had resided in Kingston for four years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Mr. Brooks was employed by Lucent Technologies retiring in 1987 after 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lois (Allred) Brooks of Kingston; and one sister, Joan Pion of St. Albans, Vt. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St., Manchester, NH 03101. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. James J. Langley KINGSTON - James J. Langley, 68, of Kingston Pines, died Friday, July 11, 2003, in Exeter Hospital. He was born July 16, 1934, in Dorchester, Mass. He had resided in Norton and Quincy, Mass., before moving to Kingston 2 1/2 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving as a medic. Mr. Langley was employed at the state hospital in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years. He was a talented musician who played the organ for many years. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jean Gioncardi Chella Langley of Kingston; one stepdaughter, Patricia Cline of Kingston; four grandchildren; and three nephews. He was predeceased by three stepchildren, Corinne Chella, Ralph Chella and Dana Chella. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday in St. Michael Church, Exeter. Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Robert E. Morse KINGSTON - Robert E. Morse, 81, of Hunt Road, died Monday, July 14, 2003, in Exeter Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born Sept. 22, 1921, in Medford, Mass., the son of the late E. Raymond and Esther (Johnson) Morse. He was a 1939 graduate of Melrose (Mass.) High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving as a pilot in the South Pacific. He was recalled during the Korean conflict and served with the Naval Reserves retiring after 23 years of service. Mr. Morse was employed by New England Telephone Co., retiring as a plant staff supervisor in 1981 after 42 years of service. Most of his career was spent in the Everett/East Boston/Logan Airport area. He was an avid recreational boat builder and in later years turned to intricate model boats, airplanes and trains. He was a life member of the Military Officers Association of America and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathleen M. (Keresey) Morse; one daughter, Cheryl Marks of Idaho; one son and his wife, Glenn and Kathi Morse of Malden, Mass.; one sister, Ruth Gilmore of Florida; his mother-in-law, Marion E. Keresey of Arizona; and one aunt, Helen A. Young of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lois Leighton Morse; and one sister, Betty Bolton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, with the Rev. John Finnegan officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the N.H. Ryan E. Rafferty SANBORNVILLE - Ryan Emerson Rafferty, infant son of John M. and Sarah K. (Crowley) Rafferty, of Rocky Point Road, died suddenly Monday, July 14, 2003. He was born March 7, 2003, in Exeter. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Jeremiah and Louise Crowley of Connecticut; his paternal grandparents, Susan Rafferty of Danville, and Michael and his wife Linda Rafferty of Massachusetts; his great-grandmothers, Kay Beckwith of Maine and Isabelle Awn of New Jersey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Mass of the Angels was celebrated Thursday in St. Anthony Church, Sanbornville, with the Rev. Edmund A. Babicz, pastor, and the Rev. Paul Montminy of Rochester as concelebrants.
