Mark Dolmat EXETER - Mark Dolmat, 53, of 4 Alumni Drive, died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at Exeter Healthcare after a lengthy illness. He was born March 2, 1950, in Brighton, Mass., and had resided in Kingston and Exeter for many years. Mr. Dolmat had worked for several years for Public Service Co. of New Hampshire at the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant. In 1985 he suffered a brainstem infarction which left him immobile, and he had resided at Exeter Healthcare since then. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching television. He is survived by one daughter, Jessica; one sister, Nancy Martino of Barrington; and many aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy A. (Mansfield) Martino; and one brother, Michael Dolmat. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston. Carolyn Godbout RAYMOND - Carolyn Godbout, 61, died Friday, July 25, 2003, at her son’s home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 11, 1942, in South Berwick, Maine, the daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Donahue) Keniston. Mrs. Godbout was a barmaid at the Veteran of Foreign Wars Maple Wheadon Post 4479 in Raymond for many years. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 4479 and was very active with VFW functions. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by one son, John Flanagan of Raymond; two daughters, Diane Shover of South Berwick and Colleen Yergeau of Madbury; four grandchildren; two sisters, Ellen Monahan of Rowley, Mass., and Kathleen Stovall of Parkensburg, W.V.; one brother, Joseph M. Keniston of Chesapeake, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Monday in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, with the Rev. Mike Taylor of St. Joseph Church, Epping, officiating. Elaine Grande SANDOWN - Elaine Grande, 56, of Scott Lane, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. She was born July 24, 1947, in Newport, R.I., the daughter of the late Abraham and Bertha (Lubin) Pechow. She resided in Brookline, Mass., and in Sandown and Allston, Mass., for the past 15 years. She received her bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Douglas College, a branch of Rutgers University in New Jersey, and her master’s degree in social work from Boston State College. Mrs. Grande worked in social services for more than 30 years and was employed by the Temporary Home for Women and Children in Boston. She was an avid runner and was involved with the Greater Lowell Road Runners, the Greater Derry Track Club, the Sandown Rogue Runners and the Boston Barley Hoppers. She is survived by her husband, Steven R. Grande of Sandown; one brother, Steven Pechow of Millstone Township, N.J.; one niece and two nephews; and her mother-in-law, Marjorie Grande of Malden, Mass. Graveside services were held Monday in Green Hill Cemetery, Chester. To sign an online guest book visit www.peabodyfuneralhome.com. John A. Palmer III PEPPERELL, Mass. - John Alden "JP" Palmer III, 48, died of cancer Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at his home. He was born Nov. 24, 1954, in Exeter, the son of J. Alden and Ruth (Reynolds) Palmer of Plaistow. He was raised in Plaistow. He attended Pollard School and was a 1972 graduate of Timberlane Regional High School, and received his bachelor’s degree in education from Keene State College in 1976. Mr. Palmer was the director of technology at Carroll School in Lincoln, Mass., since 1993, and served as the director of the Bounders Outdoor Education Program at the school from 1986 to 1993. He previously taught industrial arts at Greenfield (Mass.) High School for one year when he relocated to Lake Tahoe, where he served as director of special programs for the Juvenile Probation Office of Douglas County. In that capacity he conducted outdoor trips that involved canoeing, backpacking and whitewater rafting. He returned to New England and joined his father in the family contracting firm of John A. Palmer & Son until 1983, when he founded John Palmer’s All Outdoors Adventure Co., which was operated on the shores of Lake Moxie in The Forks, Maine. He was a member of and certified by the Professional Ski Instructors Association and was a ski development coach at Attitash-Bear Peak ski area. He was also certified in cold weather survival techniques. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Susan (Campbell) Palmer of Pepperell; one daughter, Elizabeth A. Palmer of Pepperell; three sisters, Jayne McPherson of Topsham, Maine, Janice Palmer of Waterbury, Conn., and Joanne Durfee of Laconia; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Route 121A, Plaistow. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church of Plaistow, Main Street, Plaistow. Burial will follow in Plaistow Cemetery. Robinson RAYMOND - Mildred Bernice Robinson, 89, of Freetown Road, died Friday, July 25, 2003, in Exeter Hospital after a period of failing health. She was born Feb. 13, 1914, in Boston, the daughter of the late George W. and Gladys O. (Dwyer) Armstrong. She was raised in Chester and had resided in Raymond since 1939. Mrs. Robinson was employed by several area shoe shops including Klev’s Shoe Factory in Derry. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and going to yard sales. The widow of Ernest M. Robinson, her husband of 70 years, she is survived by one son, Maurice Robinson of Fremont; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Burial was in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.
