DONALD DUPONT Donald H. Dupont, 73, formerly of Berlin, died on Sunday, February 15, 2004 at the Coös County Nursing Home in West Stewartstown. He was born in Berlin on November 8, 1930, the son of Roland and Elizabeth (Desjardins) Dupont, and lived in Berlin for most of his life. He was employed by Brown Company and James River Corporation for many years and retired in 1985. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Members of the family include his former wife, Evelyn Dupont of Gorham; a son, Allen Dupont of Manchester; three daughters, Beverly Dupont of Berlin, Gina Dupont of Appleton Wisc.; and Judy Andryanoff of Gorham; nine grandchildren, including Virgina and J.R. Stanton of Colebrook; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Spears of Oregon and Jeannette Montminy of Berlin; a brother, Raymond Dupont of Florida; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Dupont, and two brothers, Oscar Dupont and Law-rence Dupont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19, at 11 a.m. at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, on Wednesday, February 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDNA OUIMETTE GIROUX Edna Ouimette Giroux, formerly of Colebrook, died at the Centre Hospitalier Universi-taire de Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, Quebec, on February 5, 2004 at the age of 93. Mrs. Giroux was born on February 7, 1910 and was married to Leon Giroux, who predeceased her on January 6, 1991. Mrs. Giroux leaves behind her children, Yvon Giroux of Stewartstown and Anita Giroux Gervais of Island Pond; her daughters-in-law, Louise Mail-loux Giroux, Ghislaine Quirion Giroux and Rita Riendeau Giroux; a son-in-law, Marcel Gervais, 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three children, Real Giroux, Jeannine Giroux-Sicard and Gerard Giroux, and son-in-law Aime Sicard. Services were held on Saturday, February 7 at the St-Jean l'Evangeliste Church in Coaticook, Quebec, with burial to follow in the spring at St. Brendan's Cemetery in Colebrook. Funeral services were under the direction of Charron and Sons, Inc., of Coaticook. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JUDITH KAMP Mrs. Judith K. (Wheeler) Kamp, 53, of Colebrook died on Friday, February 13, 2004 at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital. Mrs. Kamp was born on December 19, 1950 in Manchester, daughter of the late Hillary and Ethal (Avery) Wheeler. Mrs. Kamp enjoyed working at Wal-Mart as a cashier, where she enjoyed being around friends and visiting with customers. She and her family moved to Colebrook this past November from Winslow, Maine, but because of an illness she was unable to work. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Kamp is survived by her husband, Tim Kamp of Colebrook, NH; her daughter, Lori Smith of Colebrook; six grandchildren and a cousin, Donald Emery of New York. There will be no calling hours. Kenney of Coxsackie, N.Y., and formerly of Columbia, died after a lengthy illness in Revena, N.Y., on February 11, 2004. Richard was born on December 9, 1917 in Columbia, son of the late Guy and Elise Kenney. Richard worked on various farms around Columbia, then moved to Athens, N.Y., in 1956. He retired from Olsen Bodies in Athens. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family, and lending a helping hand to those in need. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 770 in Catskill, N.Y., and a lifetime member of the Amer-ican Legion in Athens. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard D. and William E.; two brothers, Wilfred Kenney and Kenneth Kenney; and two sisters, Caroline Dobson and Ruth Smith. He is survived by a son, David A. Kenney of Colebrook and his wife, Louisa; a daughter, Mary Seebode of Vancouver, Wash.; and her husband, Herman; brothers Herman Kenney of Magalloway, Maine, and Robert Kenney of Errol; sisters Charlotte Dobson of Colebrook, Naomi Covell of Bloomfield and Jean Lew of Newington, Conn.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held at Pero Memorial Chapel in Revena, N.Y., on Saturday, February 14. Burial will be at a later date in Athens, N.Y., next to his two sons. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BERNICE LAFEUILLE Bernice A. "Sis" Lafeuille, 62, of Stratford, died on Monday, February 9, 2004 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster after a brief illness. Born on June 13, 1941 in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Raymond M. and Bernadette M. (Defosse) Deyette, and had lived her whole life in the Stratford and Groveton areas. She was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1959, and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Stratford. Sis was employed by the Stratford Public School as a special education aide. She taught Camp Faith at St. Francis Xavier Church, worked their Penny Sale and was very supportive of the Catholic Church. She was very active with the Cohos Historical Society and loved gardening and judging. She did a lot for the 4-H in years past, and would decorate cakes for anyone who asked. She enjoyed crafts, was a yard sale junkie and did a lot of volunteer work. Sis also was a real artist and loved to paint. She was loved by everyone she knew, young and old. She was the "community Mom" and always did for others. Bernice is survived by her husband of 43 years, Louis Lefeuille of Stratford; two children, son Raymond and his wife Vickie of Nicholasville, Ky., and daughter LouAnne and her husband James Moffett of Gorham; four grandchildren; her three sisters, Shirley Carney of Rindge, N.H., Brenda "Tuca" and her husband Wayne Gilcris of Groveton, Lorraine and her husband James V. OšNeil of Glendale, Ariz.; and a brother, Wayne and his wife Peggy Deyette of Stratford. Calling hours were held on Wednesday, February 11 at the Main-Armstrong Funeral Home in Groveton. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton, with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor, officiating. Stratford, NH 03590. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RUTH NELSON Miss Ruth Edith Nelson, 91, of Norton, died peacefully on February 11, 2004 at her home, with her family at her side. She was born on January 10, 1913 in Dixville, Quebec, a daughter of Edward J. and Helen (Parker) Nelson. She was a graduate of Montpelier Seminary School and attended McDonald College in Canada. She owned and operated the Nelson Store in Norton since 1949. She was also a Justice of the Peace for over 50 years, and assistant Town Clerk in Norton for many years. She was very community-oriented and very kindhearted to her family and friends. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed her flower garden, cooking, and her recipes. She is survived by a brother, Wilmot Greenleaf Nelson, and a sister, Miriam Nelson, both of Norton; cousins Priscilla Blake of Florida and Frances Parker Mayhew of Coaticook, Quebec, and family. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, February 15 at the Morgan United Church, with Pastor Michael DeSena officiating. Spring interment will be in the Mt. Forest Cemetery in Coaticook.
