HERVE´ BOIRE Mr. Herve´ Boire, 82, of Colebrook, died suddenly on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital. Mr. Boire was born on September 18, 1921 in Berlin, son of the late Edy and Marie Rose (Hebert) Boire. His first love was farming, and he farmed during the day while working at the Stratford Mill in the evening. He could often be found in the woods or on his tractor. He also worked for Nash Equipment and Marchesseault Tree Farm roping Christmas trees. His many hobbies included reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He often found time to frequent a favorite restaurant to share a meal with his many brothers and sisters. He will be remembered for his commitment to St. Brendanšs Roman Catholic Church, walking to church even during the winter months. He was also a charter member of Our Lady of Grace Council #3028 Knights of Columbus in Columbia, taking his first degree on April 1, 1947. Mr. Boire is survived by his loving wife, Jeannine (Desautels) Boire of Colebrook; his children, Jocelyn Boire and his wife Iola of West Stewartstown, Germain Boire and his wife Gaetane of Colebrook, Blandine Shallow of Jefferson, Helen Phillips of Hampstead, Norman Boire and his wife Alicia of Colebrook, Rita Gilbert and her husband Michael of Colebrook, Micheline Lambert and her husband Bruno of Manchester, Peter Rouleau and his wife, of Columbia, Diane Walsh and her husband Thomas of Manchester, Judy Erbaker and her husband John of Holiday, Fla., Serge Rouleau and his wife Diane of Colebrook, Francoise Johnson and her husband Scott of Newmarket and Dennis Rouleau of Colebrook; his brothers and sisters, Roger Boire of Sawyerville, Gilberte Fauteux of Sherbrooke, Maurice Boire of Coaticook, Rollande Montminy of St. Malo, Carmen Boire of Magog, Rosaire Boire of St. Malo, Real Boire and Lucienne Lacombe of Sherbrooke, all in Quebec, Canada; twenty-six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Boire was preceded in death by his parents; by his first wife, Henriette (Fauteux) Boire on August 2, 1960; and a sister, Therese Letarte. Calling hours were held at the Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday afternoon and evening, March 5. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday morning at St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Church, with The Reverend Albert Bellefeuille as celebrant. An interment service will be held in the spring at St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Cemetery. She was born on September 15, 1921 in Pine Bluff, Ark. Marie retired from San Joaquin Delta College after 25 years as an administrative assistant for the Athletic Director. She was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Herman Scott, formerly of Pittsburg; her sons, Robert Scott (Kathleen) and William Scott (Katherine) of Stockton, and Steven Scott of Phoenix, Ariz.; and her two grandchildren. Marie is further survived by family and friends, including Doug Scott of Phoenix, Ariz., the Karl Scott family of Berlin, the Crabbe family of Indiana, the Lewis family of California, and Linda Vannucchi of Fremont. Marie was an avid sports fan, an adventurous traveler and a fantastic cook, but first and foremost, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be forever cherished in her family's hearts. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 11 at DeYoung Memorial Chapel in Stockton at 1 p.m. Visitation is at DeYoung's on Wednesday, March 10, from 1-7 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a private committal service at Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, Calif. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KELLY WOODARD Kelly Ann Woodard, 35, of Colebrook, died at her Monadnock Village Apartment on Wednesday, March 3, 2004. She was born on February 7, 1969 in Lancaster, the daughter of Raymond and Norma (Davis) Woodard. Ms. Woodard attended school in Berlin and was a 1987 graduate of Berlin High School. She was employed by the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin as a cook and kitchen aid. After moving to Colebrook in 2001 she was employed in the canteen by the Balsams Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch. She enjoyed daytime television, camping, fishing, and helping others at Monadnock Village. She particularly enjoyed time spent with family. Ms. Woodard is survived by her two brothers, Francis Woodard of Phoenix, Ariz., and Roland Woodard of Colebrook; a sister, Tammy Woodard of Columbia; her aunt and uncle, Fred and Elva Woodard of East Colebrook; four nieces, a nephew and two great-nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Christopher Woodard, in 1993. Calling hours were held on Sunday, March 7 at the Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. Funeral services were held on Monday morning at St. Brendan's Church. Burial will be in the spring at St. James Cemetery in Island Pond.
