UNA BEAUCHEMIN Una D. Beauchemin, 90, died on Monday morning, March 29, 2004 at the Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown. She was born on May 24, 1913 in Clarksville, the daughter of Victor and Elsie (Kidder) Furgerson. Mrs. Beauchemin attended local schools and was a 1921 graduate of Colebrook Academy. She was married to Louis G. Beauchemin on June 3, 1933. The couple moved from Clarksville to Pittsburg, where Mrs. Beauchemin was active in the Pittsburg Ladies Aid Society, the Home Demonstration Group, and several other local organizations. She was a member of the Farnham Memorial United Methodist Church, in Pittsburg. She enjoyed wood carving, rug braiding, knitting and caning chairs. Mrs. Una D. Beauchemin is survived by two sons, Gene Beauchemin of Pittsburg and Bernard Beauchemin of Corydon, Ind.; a daughter, Rosalie E. Bauer of Newport News, Va.; eleven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Beauchemin, in 1986. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Farnham United Methodist Church in Pittsburg. A spring interment will be held at the Hollow Cemetery in Stewartstown. MARY CLARKE Mary (Smith) Clarke, 87, of Gorham, died on March 26, 2004 at Country Village Center in Lancaster. She was born in Berlin on March 23, 1917, daughter of Alex and Sophia (Shanchook) Smith, and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church and White Mountain Post 2520 VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. Before retiring, she worked at Gorham Diner as a waitress. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth D. Clarke Sr., and by her son, Kenneth D. Clark Jr. Members of the family include four nephews, John Hartford of Gorham, Kenneth Hartford of Berlin, Ronald Smith of Gorham and Walter Smith of Stratford; great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held on Monday at the Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham. There are no funeral services. Interment will be in Mount Hayes Cemetery in Gorham at a later date. DURWARD DUCRET Mr. Durward "Duke" Ducret, 75, of Colebrook, died on Sunday, March 28, 2004 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Mr. Ducret was born on June 12, 1928 at his family's home on East Colebrook Road, son of the late George L. and Doris (Hapgood) Ducret. He was a graduate of Colebrook Academy, Class of 1946, and served in the Army from 1946-1948. Mr. Ducret served as parts manager at the Nugent Motor Company for 17 years and then owned and operated Ducret's Sporting Goods from 1967-1985. In the early 1960s, he established and taught a hunter's safety course and was a life member of the National Rifle Association. He was a charter member of the Highlander Snowmobile Club, known today as the Colebrook Ski Bees. He also owned a maple sugaring operation for over 20 years. Mr. Ducret was a gunsmith, a hunter and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed working with wood and was known for his abilities in making wooden replicas. He also enjoyed painting and photography. He was Past Master of Evening Star Lodge #37 F&AM, Colebrook, having served as Worshipful Master in 1964, and was also a 32 Degree Mason. Mr. Ducret is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy L. (Frizzell) Ducret of Colebrook; three children, Diane Ducret-Mork and her husband Philip of Center Tuftonboro, N.H., Philip Ducret and his wife Denise of Cole-brook, and Robert Ducret of West Stewartstown; two brothers, Robert Ducret of Portland, Ore., and G. Louis Ducret of Hawaii; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Ducret's family received friends on the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, March 30 at the Jenkins Funeral Home, with private Masonic Services provided by Evening Star Lodge #37, F&AM. Private family services will be held at a later date. ISABEL GREER Isabel Greer, 98, formerly of Colby Commons in Colebrook, died early on Monday, March 29, 2004 at the Coös County Nursing Hospital in West Stewarts-town. She was born on March 13, 1906 in Punxsutawney, Pa., the daughter of John and Adalaide (Lavo) Barton. Mrs. Greer attended school in Pennsylvania, and after high school she entered the nursing program at the Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., where she received her nursing certificate in 1927. She worked as a nurse in hospitals in Rochester, N.Y., and Lynn, Mass. She was married to Leslie E. Greer on August 12, 1933. She and her husband owned and ran the Hobbs Nursing Home in North Hampton, N.H., for many years. After her husband's death in 1978 she moved to Rochester, N.H., and in the early 1990s to Colebrook. Mrs. Greer was a longtime member of the Rochester, N.H., United Methodist Church, and was active in Eastern Star. She enjoyed music, playing the organ and ballroom dancing. Mrs. Greer is survived by two sons, Robert Greer of Bartlett and Russell Greer of Pittsburg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Greer, and two brothers and two sisters. Calling hours and funeral services will be from 5-7 p.m. at the Remick & Gendron Funeral in Hampton, N.H., on Thursday, April 1. A private interment will be conducted in the Rochester Cemetery, in Rochester, N.H. Newman Funeral Home of Colebrook is entrusted with local arrangements. CLIFFORD HEATH Mr. Clifford "Cliff" R. Heath, 64, of Bloomfield, Vt., died on Thursday evening, March 25, 2004 at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital. Mr. Heath was born on April 29, 1939, in Grasmere, N.H., son of the late Mildred (Carroll) Heath-Mulaire and Elroy Heath. Mr. Heath worked for Seaward Construction in Kit-tery, Maine, for eight years, and later for Public Service of New Hampshire for 30 years, retiring in 1994. He completed the course work with Berean School of the Bible to become licensed as a pastor with the Assembly of God Church. During his years with PSNH, he was actively involved in ministry and following his retirement from PSNH, he served as a full-time pastor at the Living Word Assembly of God Church in Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H. In 1997 he retired from the pastorate and moved to Bloomfield, where he continued his ministry by becoming an active member of the Faith Chapel Assembly of God in Columbia and the Lancaster Assembly of God, serving as a Bible Study and Sunday School teacher, and preaching on an occasional Sunday. Mr. Heath loved hunting and fishing and was a licensed guide for bear and cat hunts. He was a member of the Colebrook Jaycees and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Mr. Heath is survived by his loving wife, Theresa "Terri" (Gravel) Heath of Bloomfield; a son, Mark Heath and his wife, Elaine, of Hardwick, Vt.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Lillian Dickson of Waynesboro, Ga., and Nancy Rodgers of Damascus, Md. Mr. Heath is preceded in death by a brother, William Heath, and by four sisters, Constance Franklin, Christine Hebert, Sandra Abrahamson and Rena Heath. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the River of Life Worship Center in Colebrook, with The Reverend Kevin Horion officiating. FRANCIS PAUL Mr. Francis Eugene Paul, 47, of Dixville Notch and formerly of Pittsfield, Maine, died suddenly on Saturday, March 27, 2004, at his residence in Dixville Notch. Mr. Paul was born on January 7, 1957, in Madison, Maine, son of the late Albert and Orissa (Bryant) Paul. He served in the Navy for four years, receiving his honorable discharge in 1979. He was employed as a line cook at the Balsams Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed fishing. He will be remembered for his love of family, and that he was well liked by all who knew him, including his many friends at the Balsams. Mr. Paul is survived by his brother, Eugene Bryant of Pittsfield, Maine; three sisters, Lynnette Paul of Orono, Maine, Barbara Downing of Exeter, Maine, and Deborah Prescott of Levant, Maine; an uncle, Ernest E. Bryant of Pittsfield, Maine; two aunts, Minnie Kimball of Corinna, Maine, and Phyllis Archiprette of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and three nephews. There will be no calling hours. (Riggs) Robichaud, 45, of Bristol, Conn., died on March 27, 2004 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. Born in Fitchburg, Mass., on June 17, 1958, she was a daughter of Lincoln A Riggs formerly of Lemington and Esther (Belcher) Riggs. She had lived in Gilmanton and Auburn, N.H., before moving to Bristol five years ago. She was graduated from Central Connecticut State University and worked at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford. She was a member and past officer of the Harley Owner's Group, Hartford Chapter, and was active with the Harley Owner's Group Connecticut State Rally Committee. The family includes her husband, Donald Robichaud; two sons, Christopher Jefferson Hebert and Ryan Joseph Robichaud, both of Bristol; her father; two sisters, Carolyn Riggs of Amherst, N.H., and Lura Riggs Cornell of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. The funeral and burial will be private at the family's convenience. RICHARD WHITE Richard Carl White, 77, of Livingston, Texas, died on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at his residence. Mr. White was born on April 2, 1926 in Cambridgeport, Vt., to parents Eugene and Lois Parker White. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the navy, and was a retired heavy equipment mechanic. He had been a Livingston resident for two years, having moved there from Pittsburg. He was a member of and helped establish the Pittsburg Historical Society and was known for his love of fishing, snowmobiling, animals and traveling. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Dona White of Livingston; a daughter, Nancy L. White of Inverness, Fla.; a son, Donald C. White and his wife Sandra of Alton, N.H.; three brothers, Warren and Ralph White of Peterborough and Gerald White of Honeybrook, Pa.; two sisters, Hazel Gilson of Eutawville, S.C., Ester Lent of Swanzey; and one grandson. Arrangements were handled by Pace Funeral Home of Livingston, Texas.
