COTE Ms. Nicole S. Cote, 19, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 24, 2004 off Route 110 in Berlin. She was born on October 9, 1984, the daughter of Jean and Diane (Frechette) Cote. A resident of Berlin and Milan all her life, Nicole was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. She had been employed as a waitress at the Yokohama Restaurant in Gorham. She was a graduate of Berlin High School, Class of 2002, and had attended Newbury College in South Carolina. She is survived by her father, Jean Cote and his fiancée, Diane Rice of Canaan and Milan; two sisters, Josee Robinson and her husband Roy of Milan, and Celine Cote of Hampton; her maternal grandparents, Louis and Emerentienne (Leclerc) Frechette of East Hereford; her paternal grandmother, Pauline Cote of Stewartstown; two nieces, Adrianna Robinson and Delaney Robinson of Milan; and several aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her mother, Diane F. (Frechette) Cote, on June 9, 1998, and by her paternal grandfather, Oscar Cote, in 2000. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Albert's Church in West Stewartstown, with interment at St. Albert¹s Cemetery. There are no calling hours; family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service. The Fleury-Patry Funeral Home of Berlin and Gorham are caring for the arrangements. ROGER I. GADWAH Roger Irving Gadwah, 52, of Revere, Mass., and formerly of North Haven, Conn., died on Sunday, April 11, 2004 in Massachusetts. Born in Meriden on September 20, 1951, he was a son of Elizabeth Dustin Gadwah of Wallingford, Conn., and the late Clement I. Gadwah. He had been a resident of North Haven and Boston for many years until moving to Revere several years ago, and was employed as a manager for the OCE Business Services Company of Boston for several years. Besides his mother, Elizabeth, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Harold Woodworth of Wallingford; his brother and sister-in-law, Berkley and Velma Gadwah of Meriden; his three nieces, Caroline (Kimball) Rojas, formerly of Canaan, and Jocelin and Cassie Bernardi; his two nephews, Harold and Wallace Woodworth; two great-nieces, two great-nephews; and his longtime companions, Joseph Duffy and William Buckley of Revere. Funeral services were held on Friday morning, April 16 at the First Congregational Church of Wallingford. Interment was at the In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. Mr. Gadwah's family request that gifts in his memory may be sent to the Connecticut Children¹s Medical Center, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106. Arrange-ments were under the direction of the Wallingford Funeral Home in Wallingford. BRENDON GROVER Brendon A. "Benny" Grover, 71, of Red Hook, N.Y., died on Sunday, April 25, 2004 at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. Benny was a self-employed crane operator in the logging industry. He and his family moved to Red Hook 24 years ago from Pittsburg. A veteran of the Army, he was a longtime member of the American Legion, and a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, having joined that group in Nashua in 1969. Born in Columbia on December 11, 1932, he was the son of the late Glen and Ruby (Clark) Grover. On June 14, 1952 in Canaan, he was married to Joan (Day) Grover. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children, Veronica Grover of Loudon, Richard, William and Peter Grover of Red Hook, and Cathy Chapple of Dover; three brothers, Berkley Grover of Columbia, Bruce Grover of Colebrook, and Barry Grover of Stewartstown; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Bradley and Brett Grover, predeceased him. Visitation will be private. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28, at Burnett & White Funeral Homes in Red Hook. The Reverend Fred C. Cartier will officiate. Interment will be in Red Church Cemetery, Tivoli. Memorial donations may be made in Benny's memory to a veterans' organization of one¹s choice. (McKeage) Hartlen, 85, of Colebrook, died on Monday evening, April 26 2004 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. Funeral arrangements are pending. Condolences may be offered to the family on-line by going to www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net. PHILIP YOST Philip James Yost, 42, of Hudson, died unexpectedly in Hudson on Wednesday, April 21, 2004. He was born in Manchester, Conn., on January 22, 1962, a son of Patricia (Stephen) Yost of Epping and the late Richard Yost. He had resided in the Hudson and Litchfield area for a number of years. Mr. Yost had been employed in the road construction industry for the past 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting the outdoors and traveling to the ocean. He was educated in Colebrook and was graduated from Colebrook Academy. In addition to his mother of Epping, survivors include three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Richard W. and Carrie Yost of Epping, Stanley J. and Laurie Yost of Windham and Arman P. Yost of Acworth, Ga.; and two nieces, Brittany and Marissa Yost of Windham. There are no visiting hours. Following cremation, a graveside service was held in Cemetery On The Plain in Windham on Tuesday morning. The Davis Funeral Home of Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
