INTERMENT SERVICE HERVE BOIRE An interment service for Hervé Boire, 82, of Colebrook, who died on March 2, 2004, will be held on Saturday, May 29 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Cemetery, with The Reverend Albert Bellefeuille as celebrant. Earley, 73, of Colebrook, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital following a long illness. Mr. Earley was born on June 20, 1930 in Portland, Maine, son of the late Daniel F. and Frances (OıBrien) Earley. He attended school in Portland and lived in Attleboro, Mass., on Slater Street for 30 years. He was a group leader and shop steward for Englehard Industries for 10 years. For the last four years, he has called Colebrook his home and has developed many friendships with area residents. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and traveling to Maine to visit his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Earley is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Helena R. (Valley) Earley of Colebrook; four children, Karen Bodinski of Woonsocket, R.I., Steven Earley and his wife Evelyn, of Columbia, David Earley of South Attleboro, Mass., and Jeannie Michaud of Central Falls, R.I.; a brother, James Earley and his wife Patricia of Westbrook, Maine; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Earley is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Daniel Earley, in 1959. Calling hours were held on Friday evening, May 21 at the Conroy-Tully South Portland Chapel in South Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday morning, May 22 at St. Johnıs Catholic Cemetery in South Portland. Way, 41, of Colebrook, died at his home on Friday evening, May 21, 2004. Joseph was born a twin in Savanna, Ga., on December 29, 1962, the son of Harold and Ann (Cullen) Way. Raised in Lancaster, he was a 1982 graduate of White Mountains Regional High School. He worked most of his life as a logger and mechanic, having been employed for Pike Industries and Nash Equipment. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, stock car racing, and outdoor activities such as snowmobiling. Family members include five children, Holly Way, Joanne Way and Joseph Way Jr., all of St. Johnsbury, and Michael Way and Hannah Way, both of Dalton; two stepchildren, Caleb Sobliros and Gabriel Sobliros; his mother, Ann C. Way of Littleton; his father, Harold Way of Colebrook; six brothers and sisters, Guy Way of Littleton, James Way, his twin brother, of Colebrook, Mary Ellen Bishop of Pooler, Ga., Daniel Way of Dalton, Ann Marie Dubreuil of Lancaster, Brad Way of Ansen, Maine; two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening, May 27, from 7-9 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in his memory to the Joseph Way Memorial Fund, care of the Siwooganock Bank, 117 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584, to help defray the cost of funeral expenses. PHYLLIS WILLEY Mrs. Phyllis (Farnsworth) Willey, 79, of North Stratford, died on Sunday morning, May 23, 2004 at her home, with her family by her side, following a long illness. Mrs. Willey was born on December 9, 1924 in North Stratford at her family home, daughter of the late Neal and Ruth Farnsworth. She attended local schools, and in 1947 was graduated from Plymouth Teachers College, currently known as Plymouth University. She taught primary grades in Franconia and in Danville, Vt. Later she taught kindergarten at her home in Reading, Vt., and for many years taught Sunday School at the Reading Christian Union Church. On November 22, 1950, she was married to Mervyn Willey of Littleton in her family home that was built by her father in 1921, which is also the same house where she passed away. Mrs. Willey enjoyed gardening and her flowers, especially tulips, peonies, lilacs, Lily of the Valley and gladiolus. One of her favorite hobbies was cooking and baking for family and friends, church dinners and bake sales. In the early 1980s, she made a family cookbook with the help of her husband and daughter-in-law, Kelly, entitled "Sharing Our Family Favorites." It was dedicated to all the family members who contributed their recipes toward making the cookbook possible. She also enjoyed road trips with her family to the coast of Maine, camping at Hapgood Pond in Peru, Vt., and berry-picking season. Mrs. Willey loved music, and was an accomplished pianist who enjoyed playing for her family. She also loved poetry and enjoyed reading poetry with her family from such publications as "The Best Loved Poems by American People" and "Poems That Live Forever." Most of all, she loved her home and her surroundings in North Stratford. She had a fervent faith in the Lord; Psalm 34 was her favorite. She was a devoted wife to her husband and a wonderfully dedicated mother and grandmother. Mrs. Willey is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mervyn Willey; five sons, Daneal "Dan" Willey of Reading, Vt., Desmond "Desi" and his wife Kelly of Windsor, Vt., Darrel Willey of Windsor, Dennis and his wife Tina of North Stratford, and Dale Willey of North Stratford; her sister, Ann Hawkins of Chester, Vt.; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Willey is preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Angela Willey. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Jenkins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at the River of Life Worship Center in Colebrook, with Pastor Shirley Stevens officiating. An interment service will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in North Stratford.
