ELLSWORTH BUNNELL CELEBRATION OF LIFE A celebration of the life of Ellsworth Harry Bunnell, 86, of Colebrook and St. Petersburg, Fla., who died on January 18 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, will be held for his family and friends on Saturday, July 24 at 1 p.m. at the Monadnock Congregational Church, with The Rev. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home in Colebrook. LEOPOLD LAVIGNE Leopold G. "Paul" Lavigne of Canaan died on Monday evening, July 5, 2004 at the Concord Hospital in Concord, N.H., following a long illness. He was born on July 19, 1935 in St. Herménégilde, Quebec, the son of Joseph and Roseanna (Evoy) Lavigne. He attended school in Canada and moved to the U.S. in 1956. He was married to Armande Danjou on May 31, 1958. Mr. Lavigne first worked as a truck driver, and was employed by the Beecher Falls division of Ethan Allen for 15 years. He also spent 13 years driving a truck for Philip Fauteux, and later operated a bulldozer on a power line project from Norton to Littleton. He then worked as a construction carpenter in the Manchester area, finally finishing his career working as a mason throughout New England. Mr. Lavigne enjoyed carpentry, gardening, and later in life, bird- and weather-watching. Mr. Lavigne is survived by his wife of 46 years, Armande Lavigne of Canaan; three sons, Bernard Lavigne of Port Charlotte, Fla., Richard Lavigne of Canaan, and Robert Lavigne and his wife Dora of Berlin; two daughters, Mrs. Alain (Doris) St. Pierre of Hooksett, and Julie Lavigne and her fiancé Tony Fiasconara of Pittsfield, N.H.; two brothers, Rosaire Lavigne of Connecticut and Fernand Lavigne of Montreal; five sisters, Gilberte Duteau, Gabrielle Ouimette, Aline Lavigne Ducloe and Cecile Tremblay, all of Coaticook, Quebec, and Annette Debryn of Montreal; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roland and Emile Lavigne, and by a sister, Irene Nadeau. Calling hours were held on Friday afternoon and evening, July 9, and on Saturday morning at the Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday morning, July 10 at the Assumption Church in Canaan, officiated by the Rev. Craig Cheney. Burial followed at St. Brendan's Catholic Cemetery in Colebrook. Donations in memory of Leopold "Paul" Lavigne may be given to the ALS Association, 27001 Agoura Road, Calabasas, CA 91301-5104. ROBERT LUNDERVILLE Robert Lunderville, 70, of Manchester died on July 9, 2004 at Maple Leaf Health Center after a long illness. He was born in West Stewartstown on September 8, 1933, the son of Jerry and Melissa (Libby) Lunderville, and lived in Manchester most of his life. He was employed by the Manchester Highway Department for many years. The family includes five sons, Robert Lunderville of Del Rio, Texas, Larry Lunderville, Mark Lunderville and Richard Lunderville, all of Manchester, and David Lunderville of Goffstown; two daughters, Rose Turgeon and Kelly Marineau, both of Manchester; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at the family's convenience. Lambert Funeral Home and Crematory in Manchester is in charge of the arrangements. JENNIFER RUSSO Jennifer Ann Russo, 20, of Brunswick, died on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medial Center in Lebanon, as a result of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. She was born on July 31, 1983 in Lancaster, the daughter of Stephen and Carla (Thompson) Russo. She attended school in North Stratford and is a 2002 graduate of Stratford High School, where she was her class' salutatorian and a member of the National Honor Society. She also participated in the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Conference, and was active in various school events. She had worked at the former Mountain's Restaurant in North Stratford, Howard's Restaurant in Colebrook, Olympia Sports in St. Johnsbury and Brattleboro, and most recently was employed at the Putney Inn in Putney, Vt. Ms. Russo was preparing for a junior year at Lyndonville State College in Lyndonville, Vt., where she was majoring in physical therapy. Ms. Russo enjoyed being active in community life and helping out on her parents' dairy farm. Ms. Jennifer Ann Russo is survived by her parents, Stephen and Carla Russo of Brunswick; two brothers, Timothy Russo of Brunswick and Stephen Russo of Lunenburg; paternal grandmother Sarah J. Russo of Hanson, Mass., and maternal grandparents Kenneth and Louise Thompson of East Corinth, Vt. Calling hours were held on Sunday afternoon and evening, July 11 at the Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook. Funeral services were held on Monday morning at Sacred Heart Church in North Stratford, with burial following at the Brunswick Town Cemetery.
