DEBORAH BICKFORD Deborah "Debbie" (Hartlen) Bickford, 51, of Colebrook, died on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Bickford was born on April 3, 1953 in West Stewartstown, daughter of the late Kelsea and Evelyn (Brown) Hartlen. After graduating from high school, Mrs. Bickford lived in Massachusetts for a short period of time and worked in a laundry facility. She returned to the North Country and worked for Tillotson Heath Care, where she was employed for more than 30 years until her health began to fail. She was a fun-loving and playful person who enjoyed a good joke and having water fights with her family. She also enjoyed fishing and camping and loved her two dogs, Honey and Shadow, and her bird, Myrtle. She collected Betty Boop and smiling faces, and daffodils and tulips were her favorite flowers. Her courage and fighting spirit were an inspiration to her family and she will be forever remembered as a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend. Mrs. Bickford is survived by her husband of 12 years, Eugene Bickford of Colebrook; a brother, Donald Hartlen of Groveton; five sisters, Reona Hartlen, Patricia Clark, Juanita Eastman and Judy Reynolds, all of Colebrook, and Michelle Plourde of Stewartstown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours were held on Thursday, November 11 at the Jenkins Funeral Home in Colebrook. A funeral service was conducted on Friday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, with The Reverend Alta Chase officiating. An interment service followed at the Colebrook Village Cemetery. FREGEAU Camille A. "Pepere" Fregeau, 72, of Groveton, died on November 9, 2004 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster. Born in Cap St. Ignace, Quebec, on September 15, 1932, he was the son of Joseph and Evangeline (Fregeault) Fregeau and had lived in Groveton for 47 years. Before retiring, he was a self-employed woodsman. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton, and Loyal Order of the Moose Post 1621, Groveton. He was an avid card player, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and helping his son with his construction business. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend. The family includes his wife of 47 years, Rejeanne (Perras) Fregeau of Groveton; his children, Rachel Wall and Joanne Reeves, both of Lebanon, Ind., Dennis Fregeau of Manchester, Michael Fregeau and Raymond Fregeau, both of Groveton, Richard Fregeau of Conway, Lisa McCarthy of Maidstone and Steve Fregeau of Colebrook; 17 grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Ghislaine Ouellette, Napoleon Fregeau, Florien Fregeau, Fernand Fregeau and Jean D'Arc Richard, all of Canada; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours were held on Thursday and Friday at Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. The women from the church recited the Rosary on Friday evening. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Church, with the Rev. Donald Mulrenan officiating. YVONNE LAMOUREUX Yvonne Louise Lamoureux, 41, of Portland, formerly of Berlin and Colebrook, died peacefully at her home on November 3, 2004 due to heart failure. She attended Berlin High School, and worked in retail for many years. She was born in Newport, Vt., on December 1, 1962. Members of her family include a son, Andrew Ouimette, and a daughter Erica Ouimette, both of Newport; her mother, Camellia Hill of Milan and formerly of Colebrook; her grandmother, Viola Rheaume of Milan; a brother, Paul Lamoureux and his wife Lucy of Berlin; two sisters, Diane Lamoureux of Berlin and Theresa Bernard of Hampton. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and a dear friend and companion, Michael Loreny of Portland. She was predeceased by her father, Ivan Lamoureux of Newport, and by her grandfather, Louis Rheaume of Milan. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 12 at St. Anne Church in Berlin. R. NORMA MULLAVEY R. Norma Mullavey, 85, a resident of Milton Mills, N.H., died on Saturday, November 13 at the Wentworth Douglas Hos-pital in Dover. She was the wife of the late Judge Wayne James Edgar Mullavey, who died in 1981. Judge Mullavey was the brother of the late Gloria (Mrs. Curtis) Klebe of Colebrook, and the Mullaveys summered at their cottage here for many years. Born in Portsmouth on September 29, 1919, Norma was the daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Murray) Prohaska. She had been a resident of Milton Mills for the past 12 years, previously residing in Portsmouth, Exeter, Kensington and New Castle, N.H., and in Englewood, Fla. A graduate of Portsmouth High School, Class of 1938, Norma had attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va., was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Class of 1943, and a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Society. She was an assistant buyer with the William T. Knott Company in New York City until her marriage to Judge Mullavey in 1947. Norma was a member of the Exeter Congregational Church, the Women's Club, the Historical Society, the Garden Club, the Hospital Associates and the Exeter Country Club, all of Exeter. She was a member of the New Castle Congregational Church of New Castle, the Wentworth Fairways Country Club of Exeter, the Portsmouth Country Club and the Portsmouth Yacht Club, and was a volunteer at the Portsmouth Hospital. Norma is survived by a daughter, Jane Stapleton and her husband Mark of Milton Mills; a brother, Bradley J. Prohaska of Glastonbury, Conn.; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was the mother of the late Bruce Mullavey and the sister of the late Izola Smith. Her service will be held Saturday, November 20, at the New Castle Congregational Church, 65 Main Street, New Castle, at 12 o'clock. Burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in New Castle. MEMORIAL SERVICE MILDRED STEWART A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mildred H. Stewart will be held on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at the River of Life Worship Center on Gould Street in Colebrook.
