RICHARD FREEMAN Richard Dean Freeman, 66, of Colebrook, died after a long illness on Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook. He was born February 1, 1938 in Buckner, Ill., the son of Charles and Alvina (Voss) Freeman. He attended local schools in Buckner, after which he joined the Navy. After his Naval service he moved to Taunton, Mass., where he was employed as an oil burner mechanic for Southern Massachusetts Oil Company. Mr. Freeman later owned and operated B&F Oil Company, which he sold in the late 1980s. Most recently, he was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a steam fireman in several Massachusetts hospitals. Mr. Freeman had been coming to the North Country for many years and built his retirement home on North Hill Road in Stewartstown. He enjoyed the North Country, hunting, fishing and gardening. Richard Freeman is survived by his life companion, Jane Marble of Colebrook; three sons, Shawn Freeman of Raynham, Mass., Tim Freeman of Taunton and Patrick Freeman of Bridgewater, Mass.; a daughter, Shannon Freeman of Cape Cod, Mass.; three sisters, Pearl Davis of Franklin, Ind., Violet Hub-bard and Virginia Webster, both of Texas; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Freeman, and a half-brother, Gene Veile.
