Warren Albert Sheltry Army Veteran WHITEFIELD Ñ Warren A. Sheltry, 71, of 301 Twin Mountain Road, died on Sunday morning, March 21, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Lancaster on May 14, 1932, the son of William and Jennie (Moses) Sheltry. He was the widower of Beverly Ann (Sargent) Sheltry. Mr. Sheltry was a former truck driver for Decato Brothers Trucking of Lebanon. He was an Army veteran. Family members include two daughters, Janis Lynn Sargent of Whitefield and Cindy Lou Simpson of Alamgordo, N.M.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Christina Cass of Groveton, and several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Graveside services will be held in Center Cemetery, North Stratford, at a later date. Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster is in charge of arrangements. Norma M. Wentzell Army captain, postal carrier COLEBROOK Ñ Norma M. Wentzell, 73, died at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook on Thursday, March 18, 2004, after a brief illness. She was born on May 6, 1930 in Somerville, Mass., the daughter of Frederick and Norma (Basley) Wentzell. Ms. Wentzell attended Colebrook schools and was a 1948 graduate of Colebrook Academy. She attended nursing school after graduation, and then enlisted in the Army in 1949. After a break in service, she reentered the Army and was selected for Officer Candidate School. She was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in March, 1964. Ms. Wentzell retired as a Captain in March, 1972. She was also employed by the postal service as a letter carrier and as a draftsman for Robert Shaw Surveying. She was a longtime member of the George L. OÕNeil American Legion Post #62 in Colebrook. Ms. Wentzell enjoyed gardening, painting, and watching NASCAR races. The family includes her sister, Marilyn Ippolito of Colebrook; three nieces, Allcia Boire and Stephanie Lyons of Colebrook and Jadean Barthelmes of Hopkinton; eight grandnieces and nephews. Her brother, Harold Wentzell, died previously. Funeral services were held at the Newman Funeral Home in Colebrook on Sunday, March 21. Burial will be in the spring at the Colebrook Village Cemetery. Memorial Service LANCASTER Ñ A memorial service in celebration of the life of Donald H. Bunt, who died on March 12, 2004, will be held on Saturday, March 27 at 2p.m. at the Lancaster Congregational Church, Main St., Lancaster. The Rev. Lyn O. McIntosh will be the Celebrant.
