Aubut Truck driver BERLIN -- Edward T. Aubut, 79, died on April 29, 2004 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Me. Born on January 1, 1925 in Berlin, he was a son of Alexander and Laura (Long) Aubut. He was a truck driver for over 43 years, retiring from Isaacson Container. The family includes his wife, Irene M. (Houle) Aubut; five sons, Robert of Berlin, Gerard of Groveton, Roger of Laconia, Roland of Milan and Paul of Berlin; five daughters, Theresa Nadeau of Berlin, Lucille Chamberland of Littleton, Doris Labbie of Laconia, Jeanne Poussard of Lyman and Jacqueline Aubut of Milan; two brothers, Wilfred Aubut of Berlin and Victor Aubut of Gorham; one sister, Alice Baillargeon of Berlin; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held on Monday at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home in Berlin. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday at St. Anne Church of Good Shepard Parish. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Richard E. Bartlett Dairy farmer DALTON -- Richard E. Bartlett, 66, died on April 29, 2004 at Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington, Vt. Mr. Bartlett was born on July 13, 1937 in Dalton, the son of Eugene and Annie (Thompson) Bartlett. He lived there all of his life. He worked as a dairy farmer. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 4 in the chapel of the Glencliff Home for the Elderly in Benton, followed by a graveside committal service at Cushman Cemetery in Dalton. The Edmund Fournier Funeral Home of North Woodstock is in charge of arrangements. Leonard O. Carbonneau Veteran, active in community DALTON -- Leonard O. Carbonneau, 91, died on Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the Lafayette Center in Franconia. He was born on July 1, 1912 in Littleton, a son of Oswald and Mary (Audibert) Carbonneau. He attended local schools. Leonard served in the Army during World War II. He was employed as a meat cutter at various stores in Gilman, Vt. and the Littleton area, including MagoonÕs. He was a member of the American Legion in Gilman, Vt., the Dalton Grange, the Dalton Historical Society, the Dalton Senior Center and the Dalton Old Home Day Committee. Leonard served on school boards and formed a boysÕ club and basketball team. The family includes three daughters, Linda Baker of Holderness, Margaret Pilgrim and her husband John of Littleton, and Paula Thompson and her husband Butch of Littleton; one brother, Clyde Carbonneau of Lakeport, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. His wife, Dorothy Carbonneau died on April 26, 2001. Five brothers, two sisters, one son-in-law, one grandchild and one great-grandchild also died previously. A calling time will be held on Wednesday, May 5 (today) from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street in Littleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Klatka as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Wheeler Hill Cemetery in Littleton. A reception will follow immediately after the graveside service at LeonardÕs residence at 23 Dalton Road in Dalton. All are welcome. Richard Healy Taught in Whitefield RYE -- J. Richard Healy, 76, died at Portsmouth Regional Hospital on May 2, 2004. He was born in Manchester, the son of John J. and Mary (Kelley) Healy. He summered in Rye for 40 years, moving there from Manchester in October. He was a 1944 graduate of Manchester High School West and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was graduated in 1950 from the University of New Hampshire, received a masterÕs in education from Boston University in 1955 and received a masterÕs in mathematics from UNH in 1966. His career began in Whitefield, where he taught physical education and coached basketball and softball. In 1988 he retired as assistant administrator of Manchester High School West. He also taught at Manchester Central, where he coached basketball, track, cross-country and golf. He was chairman of the mathematics department at Memorial High School where he served on the scholarship committee and coached golf. He worked for the Internal Revenue Service from 1990 to 1999. He was a member of New Hampshire Retired Teachers Association, Henry J. Sweeney Post 2 American Legion and St. Teresa MenÕs Club of Rye Beach. He was an avid golfer and a member of Pease Country Club. The family includes his wife, Mary (Padden) Healy of Rye; five daughters, Cathylee Lee of Brookline, Mass, Maura Thompson of Lewisville, Tex., Patricia Beauchesne of Camden, Me., Shawna Swist of Rye and Jennifer Ann Healy of Cape Elizabeth, Me.; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Christopher George Reed Sr. Father, friend, fisherman WHITEFIELD -- Christopher George Reed Sr., 45, died on April 27, 2004 at Littleton Regional Hospital. He was born in Grasmere on October 19, 1958, a son to Margaret Reed. He was graduated from a private school in Vermont. Mr. Reed was employed by the Burndy Corporation for 15 years and was most recently employed by Brown Street Furniture for the past three years. He and his two sons enjoyed fishing together. He also enjoyed spending time with his daughter and her husband. He was a hard worker, a wonderful fishing partner, a best friend, and most of all a great father. The family includes two sons, Christopher G. Reed Jr. and Adam W. Reed; one daughter, Margaret A. Reed Howe; one grandson; one brother, Bob Parent; his ex-wife, Deborah A. Reed; two aunts; and several nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, all services will be private. Warren Lloyd Tippitt Army veteran, window washer GROVETON -- Warren Lloyd Tippitt, 81, of Spring Street, Groveton, died on April 21, 2004 at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield after a lengthy illness. Born on August 30, 1922 in Groveton, a son of Robert G. and Ellen (Morgan) Tippitt, he lived his whole life in Groveton. He was an Army veteran, who served in France during World War II. Warren worked for 27 years for Groveton Papers, then started his own window cleaning business and washed windows for 35 years from Twin Mountain to Groveton until he had to stop due to health reasons. The family includes his son, Lloyd and his wife Timonee Tippitt of Northumberland; two daughters, Mary Ellen and her husband Mark Coffer of Lawton, Okla., and Anna Marie and her husband Daniel Harrison of Groveton; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Tetreault, Lorraine Tetreault and Evelyn Miller, all of Groveton; one brother, Robert Tippitt of Stark; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Four sisters, Alice Decuna, Lucy Allin, Sarah Newton and Matilda ÒVernieÓ LeMay died previously. Roberts, 51, of Phoenix, Ariz., died on December 21, 2003 in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was born on February 5, 1952, the son of Julius and Estella (LaBelle) Roberts. The family includes two sisters, Charlotte Whitaker of Brunswick, Vt. and Maureen LaLonde of Lakeland, Fla.; two brothers, Harold Roberts of Goshen and John Roberts of Fairlee, Vt. His parents and a brother, Michael died previously. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, May 5 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in White River Junction, Vt. Hartshorn, 82, who died on April 7, 2004, will be held on Saturday morning, May 1, at 11 at the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster. The Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, Pastor, and the Rev.
