Priscilla Kimball Foster Bush Last member of Springer family GROVETON -- Priscilla Kimball Foster Bush, 93, died on Tuesday morning August 3, 2004, at the Country Village Health Care Center, Lancaster. She was the last of the Springer family of Riverton. Mrs. Bush was born in Riverton on September 9, 1910, the daughter of John and Nicena (Boutwell) Springer. She was raised in Riverton but had resided in Groveton for 51 years of her life. For a time she worked for the Groveton Paper Company and later Gilman Paper, Gilman, Vt., for many years. She was also a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting. She had resided at Country Village since 1998. Priscilla had been a member of United Methodist Church of Groveton since 1946. Family members include her son Richard C. Kimball of Groveton; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Thelma Morton and Harriet Howe, died previously. There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday morning, August 14, at 10 in the Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. The Rev. Peter Parent, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Groveton will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction othe Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. Robert Dale Gonyer Family man, friend GROVETON -- Robert "Robby" Dale Gonyer, 40, of Groveton, died on Wednesday August 4, 2004, as the result of an untimely accident. Robby was born on February 28, 1964 in Lancaster, the son of Robert Clyde and Zelda (Nadeau) Gonyer. He was graduated from White Mountains Regional High School in 1982 and from Berlin Vocational Technical College in 1984 with an associateŐs degree in accounting. He was employed with the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation as a foreman of Patrol Shed 104 based in Groveton. Robby was a member of the American Legion Post #17 in Groveton. He coached his sonŐs Knights of Columbus baseball team; he was a member of the Col. Town Adult Softball Young Guns team; and enjoyed playing darts with the Kaching team. He was an avid outdoor sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping with his sons, father, and brothers. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and his yearly trips to Loudon. Carpentry and working with wood were also favorite pastimes. He was skilled in finish carpentry and recently completed his own camp on Page Hill Road with the help of his brothers, sons, and several special friends. He also enjoyed working on the family sawmill. Robby was a responsible, caring, thoughtful man who was devoted to his wife of 12 years and his young sons. He was fortunate to have many friendships in the surrounding communities. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Family members include his wife, Cassanna (Hill) Gonyer of Groveton; three sons Benjamin, nine, Zachary, eight, and Hayden, eight, all of Groveton; his parents, Robert and Zelda Gonyer of Lancaster; his two brothers, Steven Gonyer of Lancaster, and Kirby Gonyer of Groveton; his niece Separta of Lancaster; an aunt, Irene Nadeau and her husband, Robert Decker of Guildhall, Vt., his mother- and father in-law, James and Merry Hill of Lancaster; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Joyce Ball, and Clarence and Michelle Dingman, all of Lancaster, and Barbara McLaughlin of Berlin; eight nieces and nephews. His beloved cousin, Benjamin Nadeau, died in 1991. Visiting hours were held on Sunday afternoon and evening August 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service was held on Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Northumberland Cemetery, Groveton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Robert D. Gonyer Memorial Fund, 1 Middle Street, Lancaster, NH 03584, for the future needs of his sons; or to the Groveton Ambulance Corps, Groveton, NH 03582. Hazel E. Jonah Born in Bloomfield BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Hazel E. Jonah, 92, formerly of Essex Jct. and Laconia, N.H., died at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington on Wednesday, July 28, 2004. She was the widow of Harley H. Jonah who died in 1986. Mrs. Jonah was born July 7, 1912 in Bloomfield, the daughter of Christopher C. and Blanche Belle (Lurvey) Graham. She was a former resident of Barre, and had formerly lived in Connecticut and was employed by Pratt & Whitney. Family members include two sisters and two brothers, Harriette Barriteau of Long Island, N.Y., Carmelita Lang of E. Hartford, Conn., Reginald Graham of Burlington and Edmund Graham of Colchester; and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, her sisters and brothers, Marion Scott, Charlotte Cook, Elsina LaFontaine, Thomas Graham and Earl Graham died previously. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 11 (today), at 2 p.m. at the family lot in Fairview Cemetery, Old Mill Rd., Stratford, N.H.
