TITLE: Snell Road Plot (Layn Burial Plot), Lee, New Hampshire SOURCE: Transcribed and Recorded by Theresa & Josh Annis, Spring 2001 NOTES: On Snell Road or what is sometimes called the Old Concord Turnpike in the town of Lee, NH. This cemetery lies behind a farm house owned by the Rothwell's. The farm was formerly known as Layn Hill Farm. Speaking to Mrs. Rothwell I learned that it had been rumored that some bodies had been moved to the cemetery by the Church in Lee, near the Police Station. I asked if the current stones reflected the occupants within this plot and that she did not know. The cemetery is in poor shape stone pillar and rod construction. there are two foot markers here that do not have stones C.E.L. & J.L. ***************************************************************************************************************************** SRNME GIVEN NAME RELATION TO/OF BORN DIED YRS MNTS DYS NOTES ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Layn Sophia Wife of R Layne / Apr 18, 1880 38 5 26 / Layn William / / Feb 29, 1837 58 11 12 58 hard to read Layn Mary Wife of John Layn / Jan 11, 1813 / / / not able to read age Hosea / / / / / / All I could read Layn Martha Ann Dau of John M. & Susan J.
