Tyree TRANSCRIBED: C Parziale, April 2001 ***************************************************************************** Know all men by these presents that I John Hill of Durham in the Province of New Hampshire in New England Hufbandman for & In Consfideration of the sum of fifty five pound to me in hand paid before the Delivery hereof By Thomas Chefle of Durham aforesaid Gentleman the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained sold & by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff convey & confirm unto the Said Thomas Chefle his Heirs & afsigns forever a certain tract of Land In Durham aforesaid containing Eighteen acres be it more of Lefs & is Bounded as followeth viz beginning by the Maft road so called at the Northwest Corner Post of a Gate that goes In from Said road to the Said Hills houfe & running from the Post of Said gate about Six rods by the Northwesterly part of said Hills Houfe from thence to the Corner of a mowing field of Land of Colo Warners Houfe from thence by said Warners land to Land of the heirs of Major Smith Decea. From thence by Said Land of Smith, latterly & westerly & Northerly to the maft road & by the road to the Post of the gate aforesaid. To Have & to Hold the Said granted Premises with all the Privileges & appurtenance to the Same appertaining to him the Said Tho' Chefle his Heirs & afsigns do hereby covenant Grant & agree to & with the Said Thomas Chefle his heirs & afsigns that untill the Delivery hereof I am the Lawful owner of Said Premifes & am Lawfully seized & pofsefsed thereof in my own right in fee simple & have full Power & Lawful authority To grant & convey the same in manner aforesaid that the Said premises are free & clear of all & every Incumbrance whatsoever & that I my Heirs executors administrators & afsigns shall & will warrant the same to him the Said Thomas Chefle his heirs executors Administrators & afsigns against the Lawful Claims & Demands of any person or Persons whatsoever In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto let my hand & Seal this second day of October Anno Domini 1770.
