TITLE: The Deed of Several Chesley's to Robert Parker SOURCE: Vol 53 Page 389-390 Strafford County Registry of Deeds SUBMITTED: Barbara Chesley TRANSCRIBED: C Parziale, March 2001 ************************************************************************ Know all men by these presents that We Hannah Chesley widow Lemuel Chesley Yeoman both of Lee in the County of Strafford John Chesley of Epsom Simon Chesley of Rye Blacksmith Mary Chesley & Elizabeth Chesley of Epsom aforesaid single women, the four last named of the County of Rockingham & all of the State of New Hampshire, For and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and ten dollars & in* in hand before the delivery hereof paid by Robert Parker of Lee aforesaid in the County of Strafford and State of New Hampshire, Gentleman, the receipt where of we do hereby acknowledge, have released and quitted claimed and by these presents do release and quitclaim unto the said Robert Parker his heirs and assigns in our right Title interest estate so named of in & unto all the Land situate in Lee which lies on the fouth (south) side of Newtown mill pond, (?) that was formerly the estate of Lemuel Chesley late of said Lee deceased, it being the same parcel of land which the said Wiow (Widow) Chesley sold to her son Joseph Chesley & he said Joseph Chesley & Andrew Simpson & s'd Andrew Simpson to the above named Robert Parker as will appear by their Deeds estimated at about forty three acres with the buildings thereon standing. The above named widow Hannah Chesley reserving unto herself & for her own use during the term of her natural life thirty eight acres & one half acre of the above described forty three acres of Land which she holds by lease from her Son Joseph, it being the same quantity of land which she said widow had licence to sell from the hon'ble Judge of Probate of wills & for the payment of debts (squiggle). To have and to hold said released premises, with the appurtenances there of to him the said Robert Parker his heirs and assigns to his & their proper use & benefit & behoof forever.
