This is a place of popular entertainment at the lower side of Willand's Pond, adjoining the electric railway from Dover to Great Falls. So called from Mr. H.W. Burgett, the proprietor, who Oct 1, 1890, acquired 20 acres of land for this purpose from the heirs of Rufus Ham, eastward of Mr. Benjn Hussey's, and on the same side of the highway.
