LANDMARKS: Edgerly Brook NAMES: EDGERLY, Samuel; DANIEL, John; Edgerly Brook Edgerly Brook. This name is often given to Daniel's brook, the southern branch of Crummit's creek, from Samuel Edgerly, to whom 30 acres were laid out Oct. 15, 1714, "beginning at a hemlock tree on a little hill on the west side of a path that leads from Oyster River to John Daniel's."
