1633 - (Capt. Walter) Neal and (Capt. Thomas)Wiggin joined in surveying their respective 
plantations, and in laying out the towns of Portsmouth and Northam (Dover), and another, 
which was afterwards called Hampton, although at this place no settlement had as yet been 
made.
