Norris & Co. , Exeter, NH, ©1817, pg 62-63 Part I - General View- History 1757 - Another expedition against Crown Point was planned by lord Loudon, and New Hampshire on this occasion raised two regiments, under Cols. Meserve and Goff. The latter regiment was captured at Fort William, and eighty of the men were massacred by the Indians. A reinforcement of 250 soldiers was raised, and entrusted to Major Thomas Tash, who was stationed at No. 4( now called Charlestown). Submitted by T.C.
