Norris & Co. , Exeter, NH, ©1817, pg 63 Part I - General View- History 1758 - Another unsuccessful campaign marked this year. The frontiers of the province were severely harassed by the Indians. New Hampshire made a new contribution of 1,000 men towards the reduction of Crown Point, Ticonderoga, etc. This force was entrusted to Col Zaccheus Lovell, son of the celebrated partisan who was killed at Pigwacket. The victories of this year were splendid indeed, Niagra, Ticonderoga, Crown Point, and Quebec surrendered to the English. Submitted by T.C.
