TITLE: Chase Golden Wedding Anniversary SOURCE: Rochester Courier Excerpts, October 24, 1930, page 16, Col 2 SUBMITTED: Theresa Annis, October 10, 2000 ***************************************************************************** Celebrate Golden Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Christopher B. Chase quietly observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary recently at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl B. Pearl, 19 Heaton Street. Mr. and Mrs. Chase were most pleasingly surprised with a visit from friends in Waltham and Westboro, Mass., and were the recipients of many cards of congratulations, flowers, gold and other remembrances. Mr. Chase was born in Madison May 30 1855, but when a small child his parents moved to Freedom, where with the exception of a few years spent in Boston in his early married life, he has always been a very successful farmer and lumberman. October 15, 1880 he married Miss Ella F. Cushing, who was born May 15, 1859, in Freedom. An older daughter died at the age of nine months. Owing to poor health they were obliged to sell their farm in 1928 and have since made their home with their daughter. **************************************************************************** * * * * Notice: Printing the files within by non-commercial individuals and libraries is encouraged, as long as all notices and submitter information is included.
