Hon. Harry H. Meader and family spent the week-end at their camp at Merrymeeting pond. George W. Malvern was a visitor to Milton last week Mrs. Anna Giguere underwent a surgical operation on her tonsils last week. Michael Hurley and Mrs. Harvey Wilson of Boston were in town last week to attend the funeral of Edward Hurley Xavier Creteau Jr., and a party of friends motored to Nashua, Sunday. George Lachapelle is spending his vacation in Canada. James Foss of Rochester has secured a position in the mill here. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Speke have both been sick in bed the past week. Mr. Speke is now able to be up but Mrs. Speke is still very ill. Romeo Ritchie is repainting and papering Albert Bolvin’s apartment over his store. George Daggett has installed a radio in his residence. John Hall is working in the dye house at the mill. Mr. Melvor has moved his family from Rochester into the tenement recently vacated by Joseph Gosselin on Maple street Miss Ann Meader left Tuesday for Providence, R.I. , where she will attend the Lincoln boarding school for girls. William Lacroix and family are to occupy the tenement in the Bradford inn recently vacated by Mr. Pelletier. Hon. and Mrs. J. Levi Meader entertained guests from Massachusetts Sunday. Mrs. Arthur Keddie is caring form Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Speke who are ill. Improvements have been made in the old office at the mill. A large plate glass window has been put in to give better light for the inspection of cloth. The funeral of Edward Hurley an account of whose death we reported last week, was held at St. Leo’s church last Wednesday morning.
