Foster's Daily Democrat Wednesday Evening, February 25, 1987 p. 14 Obituaries Laurence Nealley Dover - Laurence R. Nealley, 78, of 16 Fisher Street, died Tuesday, February 24, 1987, at his home after a long illness. Born July 30, 1908, in Wakefield, the son of Henry L. and Elsie E. (Nichols) Nealley, he had attended Dover schools and had resided in Dover all of his life. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Before his retirement in 1970, he had been employed as a tax collector for the U.S. Internal Revenue Service for more than 30 years. He was a member of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church of Dover. The widower of Mrs. Marjorie (Hall) Nealley, who died November 17, 1986, he is survived by three sons, Laurence R. Nealley of Bel Air, MD, and Peter H. Nealley, Sr. and David A. Nealley, both of Dover; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew. A private funeral service will be held Friday morning at the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral home, 655 Central Ave. with the Reverend Robert Ervin, rector of St Thomas Episcopal Church, officiating.
