In reference to the death of Donald "Twig" Nealley Fosters Daily Democrat Good Luck Fella It's Christmas outside and the world is mellowed with that Yuletide hope and cheer. It's the season of holly and mistletoe, lights and tinsel, Of carols and madrigals, of the unconfined joy of giving. Happy faces pass in endless parade, reflecting the spirit of the patron Saint Nicholas. Bright young faces, trustful and believing, matured faces bending from the cares of everyday life; old, drawn faces softened by tender seasonal memories; all reflect the peace on earth. When all the world is happy. a private sorrow infinitely harder to bear. It sears deeper into, the soul with its somber contrast. There won't be any Christmas cards from "Twig" Nealley this year. The Great Scorer wanted "Twig" with him for the holidays. It was a gallant fight every step of the way, but his number was up yesterday, and eternity's gain is our loss. His friends, (and who in the corner of the sports world didn't know him as a friend?), will miss him, even though that's not the way a great guy like "Twig" would want it. To those nearest and dearest to him we extend the deepest sympathy from those who knew him as a sportsman and a gentleman. To "Twig" it's —Good Luck Fella.
