EAST ROCHESTER BAPTIST CHURCH (Col 4)

	Funeral services were held for Miss Emma Sleeper at her home on Union
Street Tuesday afternoon.  The deceased passed away Sunday after a long and
painful illness at the age of 76 years.  She was born in Alton, the daughter
of Alvah and Rebekah Davis Sleeper, and had resided here for many years, 
where she has made many friends.  The nearest surviving relatives are many 
nephews and nieces.  Rev. Roger Thompson conducted services and burial was in
the family lot in Cold Springs cemetery.  The beautiful floral tribute 
testified to the high esteem in which she was held. J. Hervey Edgerly had 
charge of the funeral arrangements.
