ANNA - married Samuel Rogers of Acworth (see Rogers family). BETSEY - married Hugh Henry of Acworth (see Henry family). Lucy - married in Acworth Asa Gilmore, and had sixteen children, of whom Governor J. A. Gilmore was one. SALLY - married Rogers Smith, and was the mother of President A. D. Smith. ASA, son of John, and grandson of Samuel, native of Amherst, came to Acworth in 1812, - married Susan E. Mann - children, I. Asa M. II. Susan A. - married Rufus Carey (see Carey family). III. Amy A. - was drowned. IV. David E. M. - died in the army at Hilton Head. V.
