ISAAC GATES was of the third generation in this country, settled in Acworth in 1781, the first 
settler on Gates' Hill - married Mary Wheelock - children,
I. Polly - married Aaron Brown (see Aaron Brown family). 
II. Isaac - residence in Acworth until 1823 removed to Windsor - married first Sally Evans - 
children,
	1. Sally - married Aaron Foster of Putney
	2. Polly - married David Babbitt of Londonderry, Vermont
	3. Nathaniel
	4. Electa - married Alvah Gee of Marlow
	5. Abigail
	6. Patty
   ISAAC GATES married second Hannah Kendall - children,
	7. Betsey - married John Clark (see George Clark family).
	8. Stephen K. - married Sarah Haile
	9. Reuben
	10. Lovinia
	11. Isaac
III. Thomas - married Patty Plumley, settled in Acworth, afterwards removed to St. Johnsbury - 
children,

	    Marlow.
